Require Services Of Defra Approved Official Veterinarian

Hi all,

I need the services of a Defra approved Official Veterinarian (OV) in the South-West (Bristol) and surrounds that will be able to apply for a Defra Export Health Certificate for the export of racing pigeons to Cape Town, South Africa.

 

The OV would amongst others be required to: (1) submit samples to the Veterinary Laboratories Agency (VLA), Weybrige, where it will be tested for Avian Influenza and (2) Inspect and approve the Pre-export Isolation (quarantine) facility at the premises where the birds are kept.

 

The birds were gifted to my dad by two true English gentlemen on his recent visit to the UK.

 

I have contacted the Langford Veterinary Laboratories Agency, they in return referred me to Gloucester, AHVLA, who in return referred me their Carlisle Export Team.

 

My last resort is this forum. OV contact details would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you guys Yesterday I received a list of vet practises in the Bristol and surrounding counties that are qualified to sign export health certificates to export birds. The list was provided by Defra's Carlisle, Live Animal Exports (AHVLA). Their e-mail: LiveAnimalExports.Carlisle@ahvla.gsi.gov.uk
