TREBLE D Posted September 4, 2011 Report Posted September 4, 2011 I have a coursing greyhound cross big fast dog but if he misses on the strike gives the runner a head start again,i would say it depends on the ground your working and what your chasing.
DJH Posted September 4, 2011 Report Posted September 4, 2011 You will obviously pick a cross that best suits your needs, for me it has to be the old favourite, collie x greyhound 1st cross. There not as sporty looking as most others however they are a fantastic all rounder whether it be lamping, long netting, coursing BIG RABBITS , pigeon shooting, rough shooting or even goose shooting. I have a cracking wee beardie 1st cross and she works well on all of the above putting most spaniels to shame. They will work all day and night. Good luck on your search,I am sure you will end up with character no matter what cross.
