W.D. Posted August 7, 2011 Report Posted August 7, 2011 Just had a y/b come back after a couple of weeks out with ring cut off, it was wing stamped.2 Days after I lost it along with 7 others from 20mls, I got a call from a guy who looks after a loft within the grounds of Oxford University, who said he had got this bird in with no ring no. but just a wing stamp. Went to collect it a few days later but the guy wasn't at the loft that day, and he didn't seem to mind it being there, so I said I'd collect it next time I was in the area.Has anyone else from the Oxford area had this problem or heard about this going on?

WulDon Posted August 7, 2011 Report Posted August 7, 2011 thats a bit strange mate had one come back after a night out with ring cut offverry strange has telephone ring was left on there not pigeon fanciers that do this and should be put out the game!
Guest charliepigeon Posted August 7, 2011 Report Posted August 7, 2011 Yes i had a blue pied hen back about 8 weeks after the last OB Race, It looked identical to her but she did'nt have any ring on her she had an ets ring on her leg and that was gone aswell, I could see a mark on her leg where the ring had been took off, people like this are total idiots, i lost that hen about a week after when i tossed her up by a tip, I knew it was her because she was trying to get in her loft.
just ask me Posted August 9, 2011 Report Posted August 9, 2011 hard to understand why someone would do such a thing but noting surprises me anymore
geordie1234 Posted August 9, 2011 Report Posted August 9, 2011 I think someone that does this canny be a fancier maybe some one that just keep allsorts ae streeters and fantails etc there is no reason for a fancier to do this
Roland Posted August 9, 2011 Report Posted August 9, 2011 Bad that! Taking the rubber, or even the ET ring is, and must be acceptable whether liked or appreciated - but cutting the reg ring of is deplorable.
