Guest TAMMY_1 Posted August 5, 2011 Report Posted August 5, 2011 What in your opinion is the distance you would like to start your youngsters off ? we start at between 98 and 104 miles depending on the racepoint chosen.
OLDYELLOW Posted August 5, 2011 Report Posted August 5, 2011 our first race is either 82 to 86 miles which to me is ideal anything under is a training toss, have raced shorter on north road but they tend to fly over
Tony C Posted August 5, 2011 Report Posted August 5, 2011 The West Essex Fed race out of Huntingdon which is 57 miles to me and around 65 miles to the Feds longest flyers. We chose Huntingdon not for the distance involved but for the fact that at this time of year there's no other liberations taking place between there and us at the home end, we get a clear run in other words.

sapper756 Posted August 9, 2011 Report Posted August 9, 2011 My federation fly from a distance of 46 miles, which in my opinion is too short, I would like to see youngsters start from 60 miles plus. JMOhttp://forum.pigeonbasics.org/public/style_emoticons/default/emoticon-0126-nerd.gif
