cemetary Posted July 26, 2011 Report Posted July 26, 2011 Last weeks first yb race from Thornton turned out to be a disaster according to a lot owe guys a was speaking to at the club room last night, and also many phone calls. First yb race from any liberation point isnt good for whatever reason, but these guys took a real hiding with very heavy losses, if the Federation are there this week, maybe the pigeon guys that are round about the Thornton/Fife area would be more than happy to visit there to hand ybs in they have collected. I would be happy to pick them up within a distance in Fife, and take them along to Thornton on Satuarday morning for the transporter to take back up the road. Its just a thought, can any one from the Aberdeen federation confirm if they are going back there this week, or are they moving further on with there race programme. If the decision is to move to another race point further down, just my opinion, i think you will be looking at heavy losses once again. So for the wealfare of the birds, the guys that make the decision, hope they think very carefull on what they decide. Dougie.
Henrik Posted July 26, 2011 Report Posted July 26, 2011 Think it was the heavy wind rather than the racepoint Dougie but thats a great idea to collect any yb,s that are in Fife. If they are going further maybe they could pick them up at your house on the way back up.
cemetary Posted July 26, 2011 Author Report Posted July 26, 2011 A heard that it was 30mph North wind they went up in, also dosent help if PERCY and family went into them, but again thats what was said. Am going up ti Eberdeen the night, and taken a doo up with me, and home the morn dinner time, if any one wants a yb picked up gee me a shout, mind am not travelling all around Fife, as the Kingdom does stretch a few miles.
