Would you buy from Fanciers of yester - year who now cant keep up with the Velocities the Modern day pigeons ./? and fanciers are putting up?

yes i would if i thought they were the goods

In that case no i wouldnt 5 year is too long maybe 1-2 years ok bt not 5

You are soon forgot about in this game

would the big difference if there is one be in the techniques used from years back

in other wards would the birds be as quick with the modern techniques or has both moved on :emoticon-0138-thinking:

Surely a top notch fancier would change techniques etc to stay on top

use your imagination a little :emoticon-0136-giggle: if the birds were just taken and dropped into today's world

Yes. IMO the modern day pigeon is faster but lacks the constitution of the 'yesteryear' pigeons.

Yes, I wouldn't have a loft full but a few that I could depend on. Many times I've sat waiting for pigeons on a hard day wishing I still had a few of them hardy types representing me. I used to house them but like most they made way for today's faster pigeons and in hindsight I wish I kept a few pair back. Horses for courses come to mind.

There are a lot of older guys who are not fit to put the work in that they did a few years ago and maybe as a result their performances have dipped somewhat. It may be more to do with the man than the doo's. So I would have no hesitation in aquiring doo's if I thought they were good enough.

thare is no evedens of raceing getting quicker what i would say thare more doos getting on the first sheet than there where years ago when i had doos 20 years ago in the big fed and national races if you got one on the shift you where well in but now if your 1hr out you wont make the result i think its all down to how doos are getting treated fed and sistems of the modern day fancers and the availabilty to get your doos more fit by traning with amont of cars that are on the road now whe where lucky to get a couple of traning tosses a week now you could go every day if you whanted to or have them on a sistem whare thay train thare selfs another factor thare are some fancers to quick to get rid of doos that mabe 2hrs late at the short races these tipe somtimes are the doos that come to the front when the going gets tuff and the sprinters go down i would say it defnatly the year for sprint pigeons and not the old fashond doos who will always get home and ANDY DONT ALWAYS LISEN TO WEE WILLIE MACK I HAVE HAD THE SAME CONVERSATION WITH HIM LO
