PIGEON_MAN Posted June 24, 2011 Report Posted June 24, 2011 weren't it another manager this year ????? loft manager came on here last year can't remember name thoJeremy Davies is the loft manager the same one for the last few years,he is a member of our club and was at basketing last night for this weeks club race, believe me he is absolutely devastated that so many youngsters are being lost due to peregrine attacks when he takes them training,no matter where he takes them they are being attacked.
Guest charliepigeon Posted June 24, 2011 Report Posted June 24, 2011 Yeah, It's not his fault its the falcons that are taking nearly all of them.

bigbill Posted June 24, 2011 Report Posted June 24, 2011 mine back at 8 20 from that toss,(the brig boys)
W.D. Posted June 24, 2011 Report Posted June 24, 2011 Yeah, It's not his fault its the falcons that are taking nearly all of them.Yes I know how he feels, I live not far from him and have had half my O/B team lost or returned injured from training/racing, every week its happening now. It's not fun and must be worse for Y/Bs.
PIGEON_MAN Posted June 25, 2011 Report Posted June 25, 2011 Thought he left , he runs it well , thought a new manager was the reason for losses , how many races have these birds had ???These are the 2011 youngbirds that are just starting to be trained, think they have had about half a dozen tosses but they seem to be getting hit whenever he takes them.
REDROCKET Posted June 25, 2011 Report Posted June 25, 2011 just checked my two are still there 24th and 171 happy days
Guest cloud 9 Posted June 25, 2011 Report Posted June 25, 2011 hey charlie , well done in the chester 2b , me mate robbie phennah is hot on the heels in the chester 2b , he had a 3rd an a 2nd so far this season , hope u were a good boy while camping ha ha
OLDYELLOW Posted June 25, 2011 Report Posted June 25, 2011 These are the 2011 youngbirds that are just starting to be trained, think they have had about half a dozen tosses but they seem to be getting hit whenever he takes them. I'd simply just race them now then if had 6 tosses to limit exposure to the bops , perhaps it's more about time of these liberations if to early then bops will be on the hunt , i'd be looking at liberations around 10-11am hopefully bops have already had there breakfast by then and are resting
Guest charliepigeon Posted June 25, 2011 Report Posted June 25, 2011 Yeah Robbie Phennah flying well in the chester 2 bird the averages are looking good for him! Was a bit guted about not seeing that cock of mine come in!!
cowman Posted June 25, 2011 Report Posted June 25, 2011 the thing is where ever you go wheather taking 20 birds or 1000 birds bop seem to appear from no where i got 30 young birds and train all times of day to avoid bop but sometimes they come together and other times they are split you cant blame the loft manager or any indervidual who tries to train pigeons if bop is hungry they will hit on lib or on the way home .
just ask me Posted June 25, 2011 Report Posted June 25, 2011 another problem is hes releasing so many birds there pulling and dragging out of one another so there circling at the release point for ages where as a well trained kit of smaller birds are out of the basket and gone less likely to get hit circling is the killer id make them feel unwelcome
PIGEON_MAN Posted June 25, 2011 Report Posted June 25, 2011 Not trying to be funny but how do you know that the birds are circling the release point for ages.
