ALF Posted June 16, 2011 Report Posted June 16, 2011 think my prob is they are out at 6 at night maybe try and get them out at 5am always thought they flew better at that time or that early it's all about getting the amount of grub you give them about right geo
OLDYELLOW Posted June 16, 2011 Author Report Posted June 16, 2011 think my prob is they are out at 6 at night maybe try and get them out at 5am always thought they flew better at that time or that early once mine start to bunch up i switch them to mornings , i believe birds like sun on there backs rather than a chill to early in the morning , my old birds go out from 7.30 til 8.30 then my ybs get to go out at 9am i let them do as they please on open hole till 12
geordie1234 Posted June 16, 2011 Report Posted June 16, 2011 wish i could get in a routine like that but my shifts start at 8 then 9 then 11 then 12 as the week goes on so 5 lets me stick to a time lol
Guest IB Posted June 16, 2011 Report Posted June 16, 2011 Mine took their time getting on the wing (seems to have paid dividends tho with only 1 lost off top) they are now ranging for an hour mornings and evenings. Quite happy to let them do that for another 2/3 weeks (racing doesn't start till 23rd July) then I will start training with my club mate.
