Guest IB Posted May 5, 2011 Report Posted May 5, 2011 cheers, so is it only Bricon users that are affected? No, its the actual Time Signal, affects all ETS systems.
sapper756 Posted May 5, 2011 Author Report Posted May 5, 2011 No, its the actual Time Signal, affects all ETS systems. so why have Unikon not informed Unikon users? what will this mean tomorrow night at basketing and Saturday at clocks off?
frank-123 Posted May 5, 2011 Report Posted May 5, 2011 cheers, so is it only Bricon users that are affected? think according to bricon they seen it coming and set up a time from a satellite as a back up so why have Unikon not informed Unikon users? what will this mean tomorrow night at basketing and Saturday at clocks off? it is next week between tuesday and friday

demolition man Posted May 5, 2011 Report Posted May 5, 2011 As you are probably aware the NPL time signal may be off when we are basketing and striking off this weekend. Having been in touch with the RPRA Clock Committee Chairman and he assures me that it is perfectly okay to set your ETS system manually. Of course if you are setting it manually then check with ‘TIM’ (Telephone No. 123’ that you have the correct time. Setting an ETS system manually has no bearing on the security of the system. In Scotland they have been setting clocks manually for several years. Unlike the continent we only have access to one transmitter hence the reason that Unikon built this feature in to their system after all how are you going to use your system if for one, as this week the transmitter may be off or even if your receiver was not working this would enable your product in-operable for marking or checking. The manual time setting of UNIKON is can be carried out as follows. 1) Put the power lead into the Unikon Ring Marker2) Wait for the red and green light to start flashing3) Present the security token to set the time4) Now connect your club system up in the usual way5) You will now be presented with the following message NO RADIO CLOCK TIMESwitch of club system and try again‘C’ Set Manually 6) This will be followed by 1 Set Clock Manually2 Use current time If the running time displayed in the screen is correct then select number 2 If the running time is not correct then select number one you will then be presented with the following screen Set Clock 04 -05 – 11 10 – 45 – 54(The first six digits are the date. The second six are the time. These can be changed by selecting the relevant digits on the keypad. 7) On checking with TIM that you have the correct time you can then select okay and you will be ready for marking your birds. There is also a facility on Unikon to produce a strike report. To obtain one scroll down the menu and select ‘Strike Report’

ovy1255 Posted May 6, 2011 Report Posted May 6, 2011 get your time signal after 12 midnight on day of basketing your system is set for that day untillmidnight again now you can power off ,when you connect it will have a signal -basket as usual do the same for day of race get a signal between 12 and 7 am then power down it is ready when the birds come home and you want them read off.if you use a manual set on a unikon base you carnt cross connect and use bricon or benzing clocks with unives lead.we tried on midweek race.
