sapper756 Posted March 12, 2011 Report Posted March 12, 2011 Was wondering, if the breeder and the buyer of a youngsters, came to an agreement, that the BREEDER races the bird for the prize, is this allowed, as this may suite some folks, who could save on carriage? Thank You
Roland Posted March 12, 2011 Report Posted March 12, 2011 Our Fed / clubs have always allowed this to be done. Strangely enough, as sometimes happens, a club I'm in is insisting they have to buy another's bird. Doesn't seem to be too popular as past times have shown. Personally I think a decent idea is that come End of old season, say a fortnight before y/b's start one can nominate a youngster(s) for say £20 and wins 75% of total prize money. The other 25% going to the club. Then one has birds trained and showing promise, or at least there when racing starts. How much really should be decided via members.Of course again this could be seperate from a Breeder / Buyer. JMO.

Thank You A dont see why not sapper, as this is the case in most breeder/buyer sales, and yes it would save on the carriage side owe things.

Henrik Posted March 12, 2011 Report Posted March 12, 2011 Dont see a problem as the breeder is allowed to buy his own back and race them.
Ian McKay Posted March 12, 2011 Report Posted March 12, 2011 I dont see why not the sale is about raising some prize money for the members and charity
THE FIFER Posted March 12, 2011 Report Posted March 12, 2011 could save carriage money, I did that last year the buyer of my bird in the Fife Fed breeder buyer asked me to keep the bird and race it as his birds were further on for training,
