to be honest if your needing her next y/bs why risk losing her just now

wait till you have what you want off her

then let her lay again then try her

and i wouldnt let the cock out again either

till you have what you need off him and let him out with the hen

a single target is easy pickings for a sparrow hawk

Depends on how much you value the birds,if you have the room for prisoners keep them in until you know how the youngsters have done off them.

point is i dont want no prisoners in my loft i want all my birds flying out but yer i understand what people saying

I agree with what others are saying about the second round YBs, no point in risking them, so try the hen later. Meanwhile I'd keep the cock going out. He will be your ace card when it comes to schooling your YBs, and he will also break the hen - when the time is right.

to me thats strange advice

i wouldnt put the cock out with the y/bs for 2 reasons

1st he may teach them bad habbits sitting on the roof etc

2nd he may dissapear again taking the y/bs with him

and with them just learning thier area and how to fly

can easily be lost

Yes you are right given the info that the youngsters were flying out before him. I thought they were still in the nest.

I think newbies should concentrate on breeding a decent kit of young birds and worry about breaking birds at a later date, you're only making problems for yourself
