I meant it could be some folks doing a bit of "training" to get the skies a bit clearer before actual training kicks off

no harm in getting some late breds to learn the ropes early :egyptian: :egyptian:

What you got to think is the saturday just gone means there is 6 weeks left to racing actually kicks off for most federations in the UK. For many training old birds isn't for just blowing the cobwebs off them, they want to really get them fit, thats fine, but to do it successfully they have to pick there days, If i was to start training now, i would look for the days where the temp is above 10 degrees, and that there is no east in the wind at all. Now if that meant they got one toss, then had to wait 5 days for the next one then so be it, but the days would have to be ideal, the old bird season is a long one, and those training in those east winds, might be good for the first couple of races, but there season could be over before they know it

May be there still a bit over weight after the winter I know mine are and there just trying to shift some excess weight. I havent started training yet though.

if this is 1st time out for last years latebreeds .i don.t think they will see many races .yb,s or latebreeds need to learn their surroundings build muscle and stamina as early as posibil . yb,s or latebreeds need out on their own at 2 to 3 months old to go raking all over.if out with older birds can keep them to their place just going round the houses.if not getting to build up muscle and stamina before say 4 months old i don,t think thay will make good race birds

this is just my opinion
