swilcox Posted February 1, 2011 Report Posted February 1, 2011 At Raymonds auction i mentioned on a few occasions the racing performances of Mark Van Den Berg, Mark is the best Long Distance player in Holland over the past 3 seasons, in fact i would go so far as to say very few have even come close to him. Marks pigeons are based 50% on Raymond pigeons, these are the same lines that i have offered on behalf of Raymond over the past 3 years De Ligtenberg/De Tovenaar/Don Leo and some of there famous offspring, De Brive, Blauwe Burtus, Arther, Lisa etc. If you look on Pipa Mark has a small selection for sale, I believe this is the first time that marks pigeons have come to public auction and i can recommend them highly!! Also wanted to point out the success some fanciers are having with raymond pigeons in his own country, success that has taken Mark Van Den Berg to the top of Europe. Pictured below is Pedro, an Ace son of Oude Ligtenberg, Mark Van Den Berg has 7 g-children of this cock in his breeding loft including Champion Brive 1 and Brive 2

lanarkshire lad Posted February 2, 2011 Report Posted February 2, 2011 He looks a topper Frank, just looking for stats for these birds scoring in BritainYou would think somebody would be winning with them ? there must be plenty sold by now maybe a bit early IF there is any truth in this acclimatising thing.I think long distance doos take a bit longer before they can be judged.I remember going to a quiz night at Allanton and Eddie Newcombe who was on the panel said get them tested as early as possible to sort out the goodies fae the baddies as i agree way Budgie theres plenty Baddies out there but iam no sure about the percentage?
Guest strapper Posted February 2, 2011 Report Posted February 2, 2011 in any breed of bird there will be loads more baddies then goodies.so dont get fooled into everybird is good just because its out of something.
