Have had a poor experience of service from http://www.shuonline.co.uk/utilities/images/spds01.png this week, a fellow fancier contacted them to collect a bird from me earlier this week, because of my work commitments, I arranged the bird be collected from an alternative address. All was arranged, the fancier who I left the bird with, waited in all day, and no one turned uphttp://forum.pigeonbasics.org/public/style_emoticons/default/emoticon-0179-headbang.gif the fancier who arranged the courier, tried on numerous occasions to contact them to find out what had gone wrong, but was unable to get throughhttp://forum.pigeonbasics.org/public/style_emoticons/default/emoticon-0179-headbang.gif so we have arranged to hand over the bird by another means.

Has anyone else experienced this with this courier service, which our very own SHU recommend on their web site?http://forum.pigeonbasics.org/public/style_emoticons/default/cry-blow.gif

This is very bad news for the sport in Scotland as SPDS are a heavily used courier service. I must say that this is the first complaint ive heard about them.Hope they havent went out the game.

I should have got a bird yesterday (next day ) from SPDS but it did not arrive. I phoned Jean at the Aberdeen office who was very helpfull and that she new the bird had missed the Aberdeen conection and was in East Kilbride.

Collected it at 6.30 this morning from the depot in Aberdeen, these things can happen as the bird had to come from Leeds.

not sure Alf m8http://forum.pigeonbasics.org/public/style_emoticons/default/emoticon-0138-thinking.gif it was the fancier who was getting the bird from me that arranged the courier. as I have said, hopefully this was a one offhttp://forum.pigeonbasics.org/public/style_emoticons/default/emoticon-0136-giggle.gif

I've used their services a few times and never once (touch wood) had any trouble with them, but that's my local depot, so I can't speak for other ones.

I could say the same about Amtrak when it was on the go, my depot was great but I'd heard horror stories about others.......just your luck.

Just had a phone call from the gent at the address where the bird was to be collected from, to say that SPDS had turned up today out of the blue to collect the bird(which is back at my loft) and apologised for being late (10 days) but said they were busy latelyhttp://forum.pigeonbasics.org/public/style_emoticons/default/emoticon-0179-headbang.gifhttp://forum.pigeonbasics.org/public/style_emoticons/default/emoticon-0179-headbang.gifhttp://forum.pigeonbasics.org/public/style_emoticons/default/emoticon-0179-headbang.gifhttp://forum.pigeonbasics.org/public/style_emoticons/default/emoticon-0179-headbang.gif

Thought they were rubbish as well, never arrived when they said they would and when they did get here they had no box or other means of carrying the doo safely. So i hunted them and arranged it with KSM Couriers. Mark Anderson is the guy's name and he arrived promptly and had baskets with drinkers on them in the back of his car. The guy is a pigeon man and knows what its all about. Give him a turn if you can. You won't be disappointed if your service from him equals the service i got

Tel:- 0161 797 6723 9am-4pm, Evenings on 07854540947 or Fax him on 0161 797 6727. E-mail ksmcouriers@btconnect.com.

If you don't need him just now take his details down for future Ref.
