Walter swanston Posted December 21, 2010 Report Posted December 21, 2010 I have always been highly dubious about this one .If you buy ETS systems through a lottery grant and later refuse admission to an aspiring member does the lottery come knocking at your door demanding their money back.

Walter swanston Posted December 21, 2010 Report Posted December 21, 2010 IF THET ARE TOLD ABOUT IT THEY WILL./// I am not trying to be twisted here, but does that mean that because a club has been given a lottery grant they are compelled to accept any applicant even one of proven bad character.
frank-123 Posted December 21, 2010 Report Posted December 21, 2010 frank this is the problem other clubs should not cross in to other areas if you stay in blantyre you should race in your local club well glad i stayed in burnbank it has gone from strength to strength since our new premises opened and some more new members joining at our agm tomorrow hopefullyi believe we should be able to join who we like without be forced to join a club i have no affiliation too other than living in its boundaryso wullie i have to disagree with your post i wish blantyre club and its members all the best in 2011
JohnJ Posted December 21, 2010 Report Posted December 21, 2010 this club should be ashamed of themselfs tell him to come to ec
Guest spin cycle Posted December 21, 2010 Report Posted December 21, 2010 i'm largely in agreement with pigeonman. i do sympathise with john quinn's argument about people being refused when inside the boundary. in my limited experience clubs are so fragile that if you let someone in that results in club officers quitting the club folds and no-ones then got a club. IMO clubs must have the right to self determination unless they have a lottery grant,in which case, they should take anyone unless they are a known troublemaker (which is nigh on impossible to prove)

ovy1255 Posted December 21, 2010 Report Posted December 21, 2010 live where you like but loft position should dictate which club you are in,no club boundaries should cross-we all know that loft positon in your club can make a diference so if you want to join where you want what will you say if a man 50 miles east wants to join and you know his position will give him an advantage and if you say he wont travel that far look how far the lads in the isles off the top of england travel to put their birds on.
