i think the server is set to blow. ??)

if the server has too many people on ,then it will slow sometimes to a stop...which it has done over the last few days.

the current server is longer able to handle the amount of fanciers on the site ;D ;D ;D

THE FUNNY THING IS WE HAVE HAD A FEW SALES ON HERE WITH A LOT OF PEOPLE POSTING AND LOOKING IN AND IT'S NEVER BEEN AS BAD AS IT HAS IN THE LAST FEW DAYS ??) ??) ??)  SURELY A FEW EXTRA MEMBERS WOULDNAE KILL THE SITE LIKE IT HAS BEEN THE PAST FEW DAYS ::) ::) ::)

Been and seen this on a few sites in tha past. I believe the main reason would be / is the total amount of users now. And the system being used needs updating or changing to accomade the over bearing numbers. JMO.

if the server is serving a few sites then it will eventually slow down, ive been on another site a while back and it was doing the same, all problems start to arise.

a new server is required immediately

It has been running slow between about 18:30 and 22:00 for the past 3 weeks or so from my experience Alf :-/

maybe if the mods delete some of the larger threads it would help the server to cope a bit better who knows ? :-/

yes this would free up a lot of space...even some old stickys that no longer apply .

But again, this would only be a short term measure I feel. As the site expands and get busier the same problem will undoubtedly arise i fear.

Me too as kept getting Server Error!

Just a thought, but at work we have an automatic log out on the server we use to 'free' its use if a member of staff is not active.   After two hours of no use, its logs you out automatically so that it streamlines itself.  Would logging out of the site help rather than remaining logged in for days, weeks or even months on end?

I have to admit I am a repeat offender in not logging out! :B  - see below !
