Guest LBuddle Posted December 2, 2010 Report Posted December 2, 2010 Speaking to a friend he was saying that if you have birds with loose/runny droppings a good thing to tighten them up is the following:-Boil rice (enough for a meal!), then collect the water it was boiled in and add it to 1 or 2 litres of tap water, then give it to the birds for a few days and this should tighten up the droppings!!!Have any of you tried this??Why Rice??.
greenlands Posted December 2, 2010 Report Posted December 2, 2010 Never tried it mate but I've read about it before.
sammy Posted December 2, 2010 Report Posted December 2, 2010 get them drunk that not how they make SAKI
Tony C Posted December 2, 2010 Report Posted December 2, 2010 Possibly the starch from the rice helps bind their droppings. Arrowroot pulped up and boiled then added to the drinker is another old remedy.
john@formula 1 lofts Posted December 2, 2010 Report Posted December 2, 2010 I would agree it will be the high level of starch that will bind them up
