Liverpoolhttp://static.lingospot.com/spot/image/spacer.gif go into the match in the Premier League relegation zone and with doubts surrounding the ownership of the club after several court battles between current owners Tom Hicks and George Gillett and prospective purchasers New England Sports Ventures. A positive result is a must for both sides with Evertonhttp://static.lingospot.com/spot/image/spacer.gif just one place above Liverpool in the table and the two Merseyside titans having just one win to their names in this season's Premier League. Everton go into the contest in better spirits having won last time out at Birmingham, while Liverpool slumped to a home defeat to Blackpool prior to the international break. Liverpool team newsLiverpool are boosted by the return of Fernando Torres after the striker was forced to miss Spain's recent two Euro 2012 qualifiers with a groin problem he sustained early on against Blackpool. Paul Konchesky is also available again after recovering from a hamstring problem he picked up against Sunderland last month and he is expected to start at left-back. Fabio Aurelio made a successful return for the reserves in midweek after an Achilles problem, but he is likely to have to content himself with a place on the bench. However, the visitors will be missing Dirk Kuyt after he suffered ankle ligament damage on international duty with Holland. Daniel Agger is a major doubt as he struggles with a back problem which forced off him in midweek in Denmark's clash with Cyprus. Everton team newsEverton are sweating on the fitness of key defender Phil Jagielka as he tries to shake off a hamstring problem which forced him to miss England's Euro 2012 qualifier with Montenegro. If Jagielka misses out Johnny Heitinga could partner Sylvain Distin at the heart of the home side's defence. Toffees boss David Moyes is still without injured quartet Jack Rodwell (ankle), Louis Saha (calf/knee), Steven Pienaar (groin) and Victor Anichebe (knee), while the Scot also confirmed Marouane Fellaini is out for six weeks with a hamstring injury. Tim Cahill is set to start in attack alongside Yakubu Aiyegbeni despite carrying a knee injury. WHO WILL WIN??? Edited October 17, 2010 by sapper756
alex young Posted October 17, 2010 Report Posted October 17, 2010 Hope the Blues win,but it could go either way,Everton are scoring very few goals, discounting the Man.Utd. game when they got 3,they have only managed 3 in 6 games.Liverpool need Torres back at his best and are a better team than their position suggests.
