budgie Posted October 13, 2010 Report Posted October 13, 2010 PETER VIRTUE CO PATH top pigeon man 4 years very consistent at all distances Another fantastic fancier but has a very good location.imo
Rooster J. Cogburn Posted October 13, 2010 Report Posted October 13, 2010 These "All rounders" seem to be a bit of a rare breed to be honest.Ones that spring to mind though in TODAY'S game, the VERY TOP level fanciers to beat from 60-600 miles are John McNeil,W.Kinnear & son,John Hodgson and John Duthie.Fancy a few more to join them in the next two or three years mind you. Obviously some peoples lofts aren't in as good positions as others so a lot of top flyers struggle to dominate from every distance. One things for sure though if I had a pigeon in amongst those guys I'd have a gidyin

Now Now wee man nae need for that, the national put a 12 bird limit on their races because some fanciers were crying mob flyer. Guess what happened?? He won out of turn with the 12 he sent so the limit was scrapped, i find that Very amusing when i think of it

VMS Posted October 13, 2010 Report Posted October 13, 2010 For me it would have to be a West section Fancier and surprised this guy has not been mentioned on the basis he has been doing the business for 30/40 years at the highest level,my choice would be Billy Davison of the partnership of Billy Davison&Son.
wullie semple Posted October 13, 2010 Report Posted October 13, 2010 For me it would have to be a West section Fancier and surprised this guy has not been mentioned on the basis he has been doing the business for 30/40 years at the highest level,my choice would be Billy Davison of the partnership of Billy Davison&Son.what about the 12 pair man from glassford two gold awards won the sec about 5 times 2nd open rennes and just this year was 1st sec last national and 2nd sec gold cup race and wins a silver award allright with 12 to 14 pair

Guest Gareth Rankin Posted October 14, 2010 Report Posted October 14, 2010 Yes this was the dark Cock called Janefield Andy and was bred by your ex race controller Andy Durning And its quite hard to believe that there has been only one other west section national winner from the channel since that date.
VMS Posted October 14, 2010 Report Posted October 14, 2010 what about the 12 pair man from glassford two gold awards won the sec about 5 times 2nd open rennes and just this year was 1st sec last national and 2nd sec gold cup race and wins a silver award allright with 12 to 14 pair Aye you are correct mate maybe there are just to many top west section Fanciers to single out one.You could go on for ever.
VMS Posted October 14, 2010 Report Posted October 14, 2010 And its quite hard to believe that there has been only one other west section national winner from the channel since that date. Wilson & Jack and Stuart Mullen have won National races from the channel.
