Roland Posted September 21, 2010 Report Posted September 21, 2010 their' sport, or better still put it on the map. From time to time many have done this. Boxing: Cassius Marcelous Clay / Ali for instance. It never matter whether one loved or hated him, he 'Made it happen'. Cricket... Colin Milburn, hell of a batsmen and charactor. if it was for the 'Old school tie' he would have been a England regular - till losing his eye of course. Athletics: Not a great in real terms, but one whom certainly picked the sport up Dave Bedford. Swimming: Say no more Dawn Frazer. Snooker: Undoubtedly the one and only 'Hurricane Higgins'. Single handedly to pick the game up and made it watchable. A joy to watch, and was flambouant and great to boot.Undoubtedly many others like....
