With a Blank week before the young bird national on the 4th of September do Lanarkshire fanciers feel that there is a need for a race from 150 miles in preparation or will Consett this week be enough with 13 days rest.

I'm surprised you have a blank week before the National Gareth. Why is that?

We have the Scottish Central Combine race from Wakefield, which is 175 miles for me, so hopefully this will be good preparation for the National birds the week after.

Down to 80% of the fanciers in Lanarkshire are not interested in the young bird national, it was also hoped to have had west of scotland combine race from 180-200 miles but because of fed programs it could not be carried out.

If there was enough interest from Lanarkshire fanciers then i'm sure an open race could be organised for the 4th of September from over 150 miles.

What distance is it from Larky to Peterborough.

Harky i'm sure it was 265 miles when we flew if earlier in the year, should point out that the SNFC young bird national is from Leicester
