sapper756 Posted August 19, 2010 Report Posted August 19, 2010 Usually Friday is the basketing night for most of us, so do PB members allow their youngsters to have a fly outwith the loft on this day, before basketing? I personally, keep my youngsters confined to the loft on the day of basketinghttp://forum.pigeonbasics.org/public/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif THANK YOUhttp://forum.pigeonbasics.org/public/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif
greenlands Posted August 19, 2010 Report Posted August 19, 2010 Always have let them have their morning fly, just to see if there are any problems. Now I'm not too happy with letting them out because of BOP,a strike on Friday morning or even late Thursday would be fatal and probably in more ways than one.Lindsay

ritchie1 Posted August 19, 2010 Report Posted August 19, 2010 if basketing is at 6 at night then yes but this week its 2 oclock so they wont be out nonono
Guest youngboy Posted August 19, 2010 Report Posted August 19, 2010 if i think they need a fly i will leave them out but if they done enough nope
Guest IB Posted August 19, 2010 Report Posted August 19, 2010 I like to put them out early morning, 6am., usually do an hour, then in and fed.
Tony C Posted August 19, 2010 Report Posted August 19, 2010 A lot depends on the weather and the expected hours on the wing race day. If its raining or windy or if the wind changes direction overnight mine stay in as they will do if I'm expected them to be 3 hours plus on the wing race day.
Guest TAMMY_1 Posted August 19, 2010 Report Posted August 19, 2010 have always kept them in on a basketing day ,don,t see how letting them out can help or make a difference,JMO.
Laurent Sauvage Posted August 20, 2010 Report Posted August 20, 2010 I keep them confined to the loft on the day of basketing.
