RPRA rule 239

If a day pigeon is timed in races lasting

more than one day, the ETS must be taken

to a clock station for a progress

reading/print out. If the ETS is required

for further timings it will be struck off at a

later date.

Clocks must be opened on the day of clocking and then reset for second day birds,Ets clocks are as Tony C wrote.Your secretary is wrong you should be disqualified if its not opened on the same day as clocking.

Steady Guys, In this particular incident don't think anyone should be getting disqualified as it's not there fault. There time should be accepted but pointed out to the secretary that this is not acceptable and the rules are XY and Z and make sure he knows the next time what his responsibilities are to his members and the role he plays regarding this matter. Would then be wanting to get on with things and not be causing problems as no one has cheated or done anything unlawful. Would say it is a simple misunderstanding would also speak to the President. Very difficult to get members to take up these roles as many people are only interested in there own self. Good Luck but remember have some consideration

how can this work if one member clocks on the day, does all the clock checking committee have to leave ther lofts to open and verify the clock, also if reset for 2 day variations would be differant to clocks that had run the 2 days.

All clubs and feds etc. will have set hours of darkness so when that begins say 1o.oopm the clock commitee can leave their lofts rules usually state 2 have to be at clock opening,I know differant clubs feds etc have differant rules about clocking after HOD start, cant see your point about variations as those are worked out when the result is so it makes no differance wether the clock as been running for 1 2 or 3 days, they will be differant but?

rpra rules must be different from shu. common sense should prevail unfortunately there are folk who would go out of their way to get someone disqualified even if they have done nothing wrong. however if its a rpra rule dont seem much you can do about it except change the rule for next year
