Suppose it depends how hard the previous race was,our channell races are every fortnight so I tend to send them back after the weeks rest but then our furthest fed race is only 354 miles.

Depends on previous race and distance. Wnen our old birds hit the channel they stay on the channel for 5 races. 192mls, 192mls, 261mls, 301mls, 304mls, 448mls, over water every time. You have to look at the milage the bird has flown and the race conditions it flew in. If it was a relativley easy race they should go back.

you need to look at the birds fitness if it is raking the sky out then fit to go if walking around the garden guess it needs a rest ;)

I'M SENDING AT LEAST 2 OF THE BIRDS I GOT BACK FROM REIMS TO CLERMONT MAYBE ALL 3 AND THEY HAD DUNBAR (APPROX65MLS) ON TUESDAY MORNING AND THEN EDINDBURGH YESTERDAY (APPROX35MLS) THEY WOULD HAVE BEEN GOING TO THE NEWMAINS OPEN THE MORRA TAE BUT DISNAE LOOK TO GOOD WEATHER WISE SO THAT WILL BE THEM TILL THEY GO ON WEDNESDAY :rolleyes: :rolleyes:

mine go to most channel races , one hens had 3 channel races this year and if fit enough will go again after 512 miles :)
