frank-123 Posted June 28, 2010 Report Posted June 28, 2010 i always get a second clock done so many dont bother now but why take the chance harsh lesson learned for this guyets clocks or rings can still have problems just like like manual clocks
Guest pigeon82 Posted June 28, 2010 Report Posted June 28, 2010 there was a bloke in our area on saturday first bird into town and the birds ring wouldnt register this bird was in at 2 it took him 30 mins to work out what was wrong but by that time a bloke had timed another bird in so he ended up 2nd in the town the bird had been down and was dirty chip wudnt read past it
fred x Posted June 28, 2010 Report Posted June 28, 2010 It's OK to have a 2nd clock as a stand by if your ETS dont work! But how can you use a T3 as a2nd clock if you dont have any paper work or rubbers on the pigeons?

Bluedoo Posted June 28, 2010 Report Posted June 28, 2010 Got to ask, how did it get water on it. I thought these things would at least be showerproof. Having spilt a drinker or 2 on an old STB.Bad luck for John. Pity the pigeons will never really get the credit they deserve, no disrespect to the other great N sect birds on the result.

Doesn't sound right to me! Some members leave ETS rings on birds 24/7, do there birds never have a bath?If water could effect ETS rings members would be advised to remove them!
Bluedoo Posted June 28, 2010 Report Posted June 28, 2010 "Ets clock got water on it" from earlier in the post, that was my reason for asking.
BLACK W F Posted June 29, 2010 Report Posted June 29, 2010 from what i hear he runs it off his van connected to the battery he had the clock and base station under the van the well was filled with water unlucky but elects and water dont mix
sapper756 Posted June 29, 2010 Report Posted June 29, 2010 I think this should be a lesson to all of us, myself included as I do not set a second manual clock when taking part in the National raceshttp://forum.pigeonbasics.org/public/style_emoticons/default/sad.gif But will do in the futurehttp://forum.pigeonbasics.org/public/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif however if a fellow fancier lived nearby and was using a manual clock, he could have placed his rubber in this members clockhttp://forum.pigeonbasics.org/public/style_emoticons/default/sad.gif

I was just curious as to whether these things had any resistance to water at all.
