Yep doo Boy. We got squashed. Same plonkers that should never been in the squad let us down badly, Lampard, Rooney, Johnson etc.... though to be honest none preformed as well as they should have. Having said that, you can only play as good, or as well as the opposition allows. So we were poor. No two ways about that.

Indeed it highlights only too well Why Scotland never ever get close to getting there, especially over the last 30 years and more.

Maybe, it's because they daren't go! I mean if we get stuffed 4 - 1. Just think of the avalanche of goals Scotland would conceed... 12 or more at least if they last World cup performances, so called progress is anything to go by.

Norway 4 – 0 Scotland

Scotland 0 – 1 Netherlands - their best result outside of actually winning against Iceland... WHO? Exactly.

just back from work...did i miss much . it occurs to me that i wouldn't send my best pigeons if they were obviously off form or unfit...but that is exactly what england did footballwise. unfit defenders sent home...rooney playing rather than watching crouch...and simmering on the bench JMO

to be honest i agree with you up to a point. we do think we're better than we are...but i don't believe the premier league is the best league. to many foreign players...to many players who wouldn't have got in a an england shirt 20 years ago....players to powerful to be dropped/left out.we've been beaten we've just got to 'grin & bear it' and let our socts 'friends' have their fun...after all we give it stick when they get beat so we've just got to take it now
