swilcox Posted June 10, 2010 Report Posted June 10, 2010 Zara who is flown by By Mark Van Berg has won the following prizes in two years. 1st Nat Montauban 5423b2nd NPO Brive 5319b20th NPO Perigreaux 6493b94th Nat Limoges 13,196b114th Nat Perigreaux 6843b She will be raced on and has a super chance to be one of the best ever hens flown in Hollands history. She is a Moleveld x Kiekebelt hen, her sire is Brive 2 bred from De Brive, bred and raced by Raymond Moleveld he won 1st NPO Brive 7740b. The dam of Brive 2 is from Arther and Lisa, both are children of De Lightenberg. I thinks its important to know that pigeons from Holland and Belguim that are offered here are successful in there own country too. Stuart Wilcox

Guest JPH Posted June 11, 2010 Report Posted June 11, 2010 when are you selling birds from this stud??mr wilcox ????tell me?? as everytime you promote birds on here its not long before you then help us fanciers out by offering them to us. the belg and dutch class birds diffrent to us they have so maney positions in each race everybird is a result winner as well you know yet its great to see the results on paper myself i think its time we british fanceys used the same system then we can all be dealers cant we????? all we are doing is buying birds that win cos they are drugged up to the eyeballs to score ?live vaccine injected three days befor a race boasted by lots things ??the truth how maney dutch belg fanciers were prosecuted for drugging birds and selling rubbish two years ago was it 20of the top flyers breeders in those countrys
gd Posted June 11, 2010 Report Posted June 11, 2010 he maybe not happy Alan but I think I can see where hes coming from , we 'the British' seem to rush to buy Belgium birds when IMO we have better(or at least as good as) pigeons/fanciers here in the UK , at the end of the day do we know how many belgies come across to buy birds from our lads , not many I'd bet.... as the man more or less says its all down to the marketing......

swilcox Posted June 11, 2010 Author Report Posted June 11, 2010 Hi Guys In part i agree with you, sub-standard birds do cross the pond to be sold in this country as they are not wanted or do they make the grade in there own country. I hopefully in the 3 fanciers i sell for Frans Zwols, Aad Van Berkel and Raymond Moleveld, have genuine fanciers, with genuine results and more importantly genuine pigeons. I have sold lots of Raymonds pigeons to not only people in the UK but to lots of fanciers on this site and i believe its good practice to inform you guys of how they are doing in there own country too hopefully reinforce that. As for selling on this site, yes i do and have done alot for the site in return, i have supplied good pigeons to many site members at the right price, if you have a problem with my activities on this site then please take that up with the admin team!!! In terms of drugs etc, i dont think you can tarr everyone with the same brush and i dont believe any of the fanciers above do anything other than work there pigeons hard!!! Are you actually saying that any of the fanciers i repressent use drugs????
Guest JPH Posted June 11, 2010 Report Posted June 11, 2010 stuart i thought sarina was the best if they are for sale they are all best ???a thought for you all on this the best breeder dealer in this country find him and try and buy a bird bet you wont as they are all booked why?? because they are the best ?these forign things are just birds that once here cant win a kite as we aint allowed to treat them over here waste money ??/i bet these dealers over their have lots in lier market as well for a fiver but you wont be told that will you
swilcox Posted June 11, 2010 Author Report Posted June 11, 2010 Jon Sarina is a superb racer and breeder, Zara is racing and to my knowledge she is probaly the number 1 hen racing in Holland today!!! But Sarina is a lagend!! Stu JPH I understand your concerns but be careful not cover all with your rants!!!!

swilcox Posted June 11, 2010 Author Report Posted June 11, 2010 Frans i believe uses a live vaccine for parathyus in November and one for paramyxo, as does alot of UK fanciers!!!!! Aad Van Berkel to my knowledge only injects for Paramyxo Raymond has only ever used paramyxo in the off season, he does treat for resporatory prior to long distance events. A couple of products have been used for that by Van Der Sluis. But the above is administered by a vet and are medicines, your wording emplies drug abuse!!!! Illegal ones To Add i dont have a clue what Mark Van Den Berg does but im sure i can find out!!!
Guest JPH Posted June 11, 2010 Report Posted June 11, 2010 umm so my wording implys that im saying they do ????you just told us they use live vacine we are not allowed to so thats one thing already ???/now as you youerself sell countless birds for them im surprised you do not state these birds are treated with meds we are not allowed to use and that although they may score over there they dont useualy over here perhaps you would be kind enough to tell us youer birds from them and what they have won in the last two years or i will make it easier this year ??after all you state on nearly every sale you fly whatever bird is flaviour of the month ?? ohh i fly all sorts so not worth asking me but the dhonts are winning for others
Guest JPH Posted June 11, 2010 Report Posted June 11, 2010 i just realised im being unfair to you as an auctioneer and seller ??but as you do tend to state on every sale this is the best i commented ?/their results are not great at all really when you look into their way of scoreing ??its a bit like winning the combine now thats a good bird till you realise it never??/ it won the fed but combine sounds much more posher but with 500birds it aint that clever really
swilcox Posted June 11, 2010 Author Report Posted June 11, 2010 JPH i will give you my results when the season is over, there is along way to go yet!!!!!
swilcox Posted June 11, 2010 Author Report Posted June 11, 2010 JPH You may know me you may not but one thing i will state is that i record every performance of these guys as accurate as possible, the internet is a small place and if you tell fibs they are easily found out!!!! If you can find out where i have mislead or been mistaken then i will hold my hands up and say, Holland is plit into 10 Sectors (afdeling), combines and each combine has between 6-11 Rayons (feds), Nattionals involve results for more than one Afdeling they are called NPO races, Nationals are the whole country divided into 3, normally called sector 1, 2 or 3. Now each sector winner is called a 1st National in Holland but normally the birdages range from 5000 - 25,000b. Lots of people are often ready to knock but im happy i do what i do honestly and to the book. Stuart P.S. Zara has incredible results, believe me. The only thing she benifits from is they hold more long distance events over the season the UK.
swilcox Posted June 11, 2010 Author Report Posted June 11, 2010 Just one others question and i genuinely mean this, is the parathyus injection (the live version) not legal in the UK? i dont use it but i know plenty that do!!!!
Guest JPH Posted June 11, 2010 Report Posted June 11, 2010 Just one others question and i genuinely mean this, is the parathyus injection (the live version) not legal in the UK? i dont use it but i know plenty that do!!!!as far as im aware the live vaccine is iligal in britain ?i could be wrtong tho but its easy to check i shall ring and ask but they do tend to change rules from day to day
holmsidelofts Posted June 12, 2010 Report Posted June 12, 2010 umm so my wording implys that im saying they do ????you just told us they use live vacine we are not allowed to so thats one thing already ???/now as you youerself sell countless birds for them im surprised you do not state these birds are treated with meds we are not allowed to use and that although they may score over there they dont useualy over here perhaps you would be kind enough to tell us youer birds from them and what they have won in the last two years or i will make it easier this year ??after all you state on nearly every sale you fly whatever bird is flaviour of the month ?? ohh i fly all sorts so not worth asking me but the dhonts are winning for others you quoted above we are not allowed to use live vaccines, that quote is wrong. you can use live vaccines over here there is no law to say you cant. Live vaccines for salmonella are available over here from vets, i get mine from a very reputable pigeon vet and i have spoken to the manufacturers of the vaccine and asked them the same question about the legality of them being available in the uk and was told they are allowed to sell them on special licences to vets in the uk so theres nothing illegal about using them in the uk. There is no racing advantage from using live vaccines other than they stimulate the immune system, but dead vaccines do that to, i see no advantage from doing it to win races. there are just as much crap for sale over hear in the uk birds as there are in holland and belgium, you just have to know what you are looking for and dont just buy birds because they come from holland or belgium.
