Only the fittest birds would have faced the weather yesterday,here in North Yorkshire we had 30 mph West north west winds which would have forced a lot of birds over to the coast.I hope that your birds make it home today as it is still breezy but a better day.

that race, is now old hat we move on. these doos are just not facing up to, hard work next week will be the same.

got my l/bred y/ling cock home at 11am today obviously well flown,but uninjured,and i am very pleased to see him.thats him flown6 of the7 raceswith lanarkshire fed,idid not send him to the 2nd.otterburn.now got 7/9 cheers :);)

had 3 today so thats me up to 9 home from 12 but my old mealy hen is missing half her tail :angry: but she'll live to fight another day i thought something had happened to her as she never sleeps oot at this kind of distance and she is 7 yr old

Been playing with the wee hen i got from the yearling race on Tuesday. IF all goes well she might send a few quid my way ;);)

got 2 back today ,thats us got 3 out of 8 ,one has been rattled way percy,how he got home a dont know,but he seems to be ok,went to loft this morning about 6.am ,standing outside our compound way ma 2 brothers and fellow member arthur,when the brother looked to the sky n said look at the size of that,there it was percy and it was carrying a pigeon ,this was the biggest one ave seen,we started clappin and whistling loudly and it dropped the pigeon,a ran over into the trees and picked it up ,the poor thing was terrified,a cleaned it up and put it in a basket way some food and water,but it sadly died about 10 mins later,its ring number was su09L14724 it belonged to big davie member of pigeon basics,it was one from last weeks race (newark)only a minute from home and it got pinned ,sad.

sadly if we dont move to remedy this we are finished as a sport within 5 years

 

what worrys me is the number of birds reported that have had feathers ripped out from yesterdays race

and they say it is clashing

our birds are getting chased up and down the country with peregrine's and there chicks

Before I go any further can anyone advise me if I'm allowed to put a loft in my garden the house is mine its not the councils but in a council area

 

contact the council in the morning as long as neighbours are ok with it then there should not be a problem

SHOULD BE OK BUT BETTER TO CHECK WITH THE COUNCIL 1ST GEORGE

cheers mate a didnt know it was as easy as that ive already spoke to my neighbours and they are fine so i could probaly go ahead or do you recommend speaking to the council

PROBABLY BETTER TO PHONE IN CASE IT'S MONTROSE CRES IN HAMILTON YOU NEED TO TALK TO BUT I'M NOT SURE :rolleyes:
