holmsidelofts Posted May 11, 2010 Report Posted May 11, 2010 I have 50 at the moment with another 16 to part over.My youngbird loft is 25 foot long, 6 foot wide , 3 compartments. boxes in the middle section, boxe perches in the other 2, Will separate them closer to racing and will race them on the roundabout system as youngsters ready for the old bird season next year. by the time they are yearlings they will know the system well jas.

Have been hit by peregrines almost on a daily basis and also had a bad couple of days with the wires local to me. Have another 20 or so later ones coming through, but hardly been out, due to percy.
jonl6280 Posted May 11, 2010 Report Posted May 11, 2010 When King Billy and Jock The Lum Lawrie let their Teams out with Redrockets the Skys are Black and yae have tae bring in yer washin tae dry it in the Hoose.Even wae a guid dryin day we have 36 on darkness , 21 moved and about 10 or so to move in around 4 weeks for natural, budgie you will have more young birds than us, tam,and the whitefords put together !!!!thats why you breed so many ! so you can get enough 2%

rasbull Posted June 21, 2010 Report Posted June 21, 2010 I have 48 weaned off, of which 10 went out for the first time today. I plan to start training in a couple of weeks. I also plan to bred 30 late breds which I will race next year. Looking forward to getting on the road now!
