Chris Little Posted July 18, 2006 Report Posted July 18, 2006 Other than the trusted asprins and high velocity ballbearings, what other measures do our members use to keep the cat away from the lofts. Do those ultrasonic devices really work or do the cats get used to them after a while. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

T_T Posted July 18, 2006 Report Posted July 18, 2006 Chris, There is another thread posted on the same thing, with a lot of interesting comments.
jordanp31 Posted July 18, 2006 Report Posted July 18, 2006 Had one cat problem but since i took the fence down between the loft and the rest of the garden(so my cocker spaniels cant get in) the cats havent been seen. Last year my dogs caught a cat in my shed and lets just say the dogs came out on top!!!
Chris Little Posted July 19, 2006 Author Report Posted July 19, 2006 Thanks for the replies The main reason behind raising the issue was to see what the thoughts were regarding the ultrasonic repellers Looks like a mutt is the answer Chris

Roland Posted July 19, 2006 Report Posted July 19, 2006 Electric Fence. Can get Garden ones now that run on a small battery, two pings of the nose and the pee off for good. I have a prper one tha pings them and it is all above board and legal. Nieghbours peed of a mite but accept... as long as one don't plug it into the mains like.
Roland Posted July 19, 2006 Report Posted July 19, 2006 Dogs can't climb, so seen often. and our cats were the same, where you leave the kittens in the loft, they (Toms) grow up to driveother cats away, and won't touch your birds, wild birds yes of course.
