OUTSIDE ON THE LANDING BOARD SO THE BIRD IS TIMED IN WHETHER IT ENTERS THE LOFT OR NOT

Posted

tammy thought you had a normal clock and never used ets

chris the pad has to be fitted to the inside of the loft sealed with two club offcials

i have a box at the back of my sputnick with two holes for the birds to come through with bob wires to slow them down going over the pad

Have thought about getting it myself but am on an allotment and would have to humph a battery over the park :-/ ::) ;D

How many people do we know that have pads fitted in their sputniks

I am sure the SHU rules clearly state that the pads must be fitted INSIDE the loft

No wonder people get their backs up about ETS when it cannot be policed correctly by so called officials

U CAN BUY 12VOLT POWER PACKS LAST AGES WHEN CHARGED, U GET THEM TO START CARS ETC WHEN THEY HAVE A FLAT BATTERY, U CAN WORK LOPTS OF GADGETS FROM THEM, AND ARE NOT HEAVY

could you expand on your post a little. why if a bird drops into a sputnik and crosses the pad how is it not classed as being in the loft. I thought the birds could not escape the loft once in a sputnik.

hi chris as you see from my post above my pads are fitted at the back of my sputnick

did you just post this to get a little argument going :-/

or are you thinking of getting ets?

The reason why I posted this thread was for a bit of clarification regarding the positioning of the pads , as expected I got a couple of childish replies, no intention at all whatsoever of making this a bunfight , enough has been said in the past about ETS.

We have the ETS system which was awarded to our club , it is still in the box, I want to know where it is best to put the pads and remain within the boundaries of the rules which appear to be a bit vague.

What I am trying to avoid is should I decide to install the system , have a good bird from a race only for some old fart to come along and say my pad positioning is illegal.

The issue of the sputnik being classed as inside the loft is truly amazing, laughable more like.

Thanks for everyones thoughts, most appreciated.

Not trying to be funny or difficult here but I would like to know why the sputnik is not classed as being in the loft.

Also john McGee in his video catches his young birds on a board on the outside of his loft Is he cheating?

Chris i understand your concerns as i would not like to be beaten on a technicallity we are not allowed to use ets i trap to open doors but my young birds are so tame i can pick them up in the garden so i can time them in before they enter the loft allez les bleus
