RoryTheRed Posted October 28, 2006 Report Posted October 28, 2006 Politics and religion should never be discussed by fanatics. Of all tyrannies, a tyranny exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It may be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end, for they do so with the approval of their own conscience. Henrik Posted October 28, 2006 Report Posted October 28, 2006 Totally depends on the circumstances, most people deserve a second chance bit then there are others who do not.
Sean Posted October 28, 2006 Report Posted October 28, 2006 its ok for joe pulic to rob a club and to continur to fly but when joe public friend did the same the following year he got suspended.so how can you sum this up? billy wind rob is club got suspended but is now racing under is daughter name. so after all it seem to me depends who u are and if you well like by others it ok to do what their did.

ACE LOFTS Posted October 28, 2006 Report Posted October 28, 2006 if i had proof of the things he supposed to of done then no way, but if its just talk then i would
johno Posted October 28, 2006 Report Posted October 28, 2006 accept or not accept is the question. reasonable ban or personal revenge is another question. were the charges placed reasonable. were the sanctions impossed reasonable. football players, athletes, and a number of other spotsmen and women have recently been found gui;ty of drug taking, violent conduct, and a wide range of misdemeanors. when we compare the sanctions taken we do not find anything that comes near the brutality and madness of ten to twenty year bans that seem to have become the norm in the pigeon game. is it not time for some body outside pigeons to mediate and try to put some sense back.
dandydoo Posted October 28, 2006 Report Posted October 28, 2006 Rules are there for everyone's good like them or not. If there is a loophole you need to raise it through your Club.Fed etc. Where would we all be if there was no rules or processes. If someone cheated... tough, if you were denied a trophy or a position... tough. Lets not forget that the Clubs are the first point of entry and that if someone is iffy ...a club can deny membership. So not for those in charge it is the Club's responsibility in the first instance. I dont believe that you mean this Sean, i think you are basing your opinion on one case, there are MANY reasons why somebody is banned i.e. debt suspension means all members must pay and make up the difference. If you have no structure or rules the whole thing would go down the toilet. Would you really fly against somebody that was a known cheat ...knowing that they were not fairly beating ...not for me
dandydoo Posted October 28, 2006 Report Posted October 28, 2006 It doesny matter what we all think anyway ...we will have no say as it will be YOUR elected delegates that make the decisions from the various unions
Guest REDFOXKRAUTHS Posted October 28, 2006 Report Posted October 28, 2006 Totally depends on the circumstances, most people deserve a second chance bit then there are others who do not. I SURPOSE IT DEPENDS ON WHAT THEY DID
square_peg Posted October 28, 2006 Author Report Posted October 28, 2006 why not ? infact people shouldn't get suspended from the sport it's about time such people should get fined instead of being suspended. the sport is diein we want more in it not getting rid of members. their tooo many big boys in this game that take too many people to the centre over silly little things and get the their own way. GOOD IDEA SEAN BUT JUST HOW DO YOU GET SOMEBODY TO PAY A FINE WHEN THEY WONT PAY THERE ANNUAL DUES? AS FOR BIG BOYS GETTING THERE OWN WAY THAT IS THE REASON FOR THE RULE BOOK IT IS THERE TO HELP EVERYONE NOT TO CATCH PEOPLE OUT NOT TO HINDER ANYONE NOT TO CAUSE BOTHER
square_peg Posted October 28, 2006 Author Report Posted October 28, 2006 small clame courts GET REAL SEAN >
Guest Posted October 28, 2006 Report Posted October 28, 2006 Agree with the other posts on the officials appointments and rules. They both happen through the votes of ordinary members. If you feel something is wrong, get it changed from within. So wondered if the saction & appeal system was as fair as maybe it could be, and best practice? For example, if there's a problem in one police force its always another force that investigates? If the appeal goes to the final level officer(s) in the Union, and fails, perhaps we now need an 'appeals' court formed by a different Union to check the case out and make doubly sure that the whole process has been fair, AND that the sanction is appropriate for the 'crime'.
