hi

i have been asked to judge a show on saturday 02/12/06 thought some of you good people could share any tips with myself

 

what should i be looking for in a winner

 

ps its handling class

yes it is tammy's club show

dont tell him a novice judge he might get someone else

you pick the one u like, a good one is put the bird in four parts, HEAD, BODY, WING, CONDITION, mark each with points, with 10 being the top for each, IE.

 

head  6, body 7, wing, 5, condition 7, = 25,  do this for each bird then go over them and if one has the most points its the winner, u may have to go over some again if they have the same points, as u are looking at a bird u count in ur head the points for the 4 parts and put in the book or ur marker if u have one which is always best, pen so and so 25,

or reds,cheqs,blues,mealys,he has them too :)the ones with one eye cold and lice they'r tammys ;D ;D ;D

Hi Bart

          Look at the ones giving you sensible advice and you won't go wrong Please remember it is only fun to keep the fancy going through the winter. But if you are willing to take it home it is the right pigeon in your eyes and the owners only. Good Luck you might need it and stay well away from TAMMY if he does not win or get a card.

Ask CLOCKMAN for advise he and his team gave half show half racers to win first at Aberdeen two years ago Yes all but one class ????????????????????????????

cant help what the others picked,but when you judge best in show when a guy has what 15x 1st out of 16 classes who's going to get best in show :-/
