square_peg Posted November 30, 2006 Report Posted November 30, 2006 BRILLIANT BIT OF BUSINESS WELL DONE TO WHO EVER TALKED THEM INTO SPENDING THAT MUCH MONEY
dandydoo Posted November 30, 2006 Report Posted November 30, 2006 Arch we dont do enuf of that ..our Club has more than the Fed ??) ??) ??)
THE FIFER Posted November 30, 2006 Report Posted November 30, 2006 well done and all the best for the lanarkshire fed in 2007.
ALF Posted November 30, 2006 Report Posted November 30, 2006 Well done to Sam Rodger & son on a fantastic gesture and i'm sure it is appreciated by everyone in Lanarkshire ;)
Guest Posted December 2, 2006 Report Posted December 2, 2006 I think sponsorship can play a big part in pigeon racing.its not cheap to advertise these days and if pigeon organisation can give businesses the publicity at a fraction of the price i think a lot of them would be interested. it's just a case of getting out there and asking them!
THE FIFER Posted December 2, 2006 Report Posted December 2, 2006 i have always put this up. any organisation with a transporter going down the road has great advertising space, worth a lot.
Guest Posted December 2, 2006 Report Posted December 2, 2006 yup, a fed would be happy with a few hundred £ and then the advertiser is having great coverage, everyone is happy!
Guest TAMMY_1 Posted December 2, 2006 Report Posted December 2, 2006 unfortunately our transporter is hired so we cannot get advertising on it which would be a great way to draw in some money, Lanarkshire keeps boasting it has some millionaires in the fed and apart from this donation none of the other so called ones put in a penny in sponsorship yet they are full of criticism
dandydoo Posted December 2, 2006 Report Posted December 2, 2006 Tammy .... what is your feeling on hiring transporters as opposed to Fed buying your own
Guest TAMMY_1 Posted December 3, 2006 Report Posted December 3, 2006 Tammy .... what is your feeling on hiring transporters as opposed to Fed buying your own I SHOULD MAYBE HAVE RXPLAINED THAT THE FED ACTUALLY OWNS THE TRAILORS ANT THE BASKETS WHAT WE ACTUALLY HAVE IS A CONTRACT TO HIRE THE CAB TO PULL THEM, IF ALL THE PROBLEMS ASSOCIATED WITH HAVING YOUR OWN COMPLETELY NEW TRANSPORTERS WERE OVERCOME LIKE NO MONEY, NOWHERE TO STORE THEM NOBODY TO LOOK AFTER THEM IN WINTER, NO SPARE UNIT IF ONE SHOULD BREAKDOWN, THE MONEY NEEDED TO KEEP THEM ON THE ROAD, AND OTHER ASSOCIATED PROBLEMS , IF ALL THESE THINGS WERE OVERCOME WITHOUT PUTTING US HEAVILY IN DEBT THEN I WOULD LIKE THEM BOUGHT BUT HOPEFULLY THE COMMITTEE THAT HAS BEEN SET UP TO LOOK INTO THIS WILL COME UP WITH ANSWERS OR THE MONEY TO DO EVERYTHING
Guest WINGS 04 Posted December 3, 2006 Report Posted December 3, 2006 TAMMY IS THE MONYEY FOR ONE RACE OR TO SPLIT OVER ALL THE RACES ???
Guest TAMMY_1 Posted December 3, 2006 Report Posted December 3, 2006 TAMMY IS THE MONYEY FOR ONE RACE OR TO SPLIT OVER ALL THE RACES ??? IT IS TO BE USED TOWARDS ANY RACES THAT IAN HENDERSON DECIDES, BUT IAN HAS TOLD ME MOST WILL GO TO THE OPEN RACES FROM MAIDSTONE AND LILLIERS AND THE YOUNG BIRD OPEN RACE AND WHAT EVER IS LEFT WILL GO TO WHATEVER HE DECIDES
Guest Gareth Rankin Posted December 3, 2006 Report Posted December 3, 2006 I would like to see £500 for Lillers winner, £400 for Maidstone winner, £150 for Grantham Dup winner, and also £150 for the Duplication Young bird race winner. Just an opinion. :)
