LOOKING FOR SOME HELP DURING RACING

AS SOME OF YOU MAY KNOW ,THIS YEAR I AM ASISSTANT RACE CONTROLLER FOR LANARKSHIRE AND I AM LOOKING TO BUILD UP SOME CONTACTS WHO WOULD LIKE TO HELP WITH GIVING SOME WEATHER ADVICE IF THEY LIVE IN OR NEAR ANY OF OUR RACE POINTS THAT I COULD CONTACT AT THE WEEKENDS, BY PHONE , E-MAIL ORT ANY WAY, I WOULD DO THE PHONING TO ANY NUMBERS PROVIDED BUT HERE IS MY PHONE NUMBER AND E-MAIL ADDRESS FOR ANYBODY THAT WOULD LIKE TO HELP, THEY CAN JUST NOW GET IN TOUCH JUST NOW WITH A PM IF THEY WISH

i had spoken to a few members a while ago about this and had  some offers but now is the time to make some definate contacts, cheers for any help offered.

I did have a pm or two  last night with SJ IRVING and he has kindly offered his help with an e-mail of weather conditions at his home, good man.

I live about 10 miles to the east of Witton Castle, so would be able to give you rough idea what is like at the time of release.

 

But round here it can be so different in that kind of distance, as we have hills, lots of woodland, open fells and defineitly a unique rainfall, it rains when you think it shouldnt(ie nice sunny day).

Ripon is about 30 mile direct south from aswell but again, it can be so much more different from there to here.

 

If you Were to Race from Aycliffe, a new race point in the BHW then a visit could be made as its about 2 mile from my house.

Ive heard some of the scottish clubs are racing from Aycliffe this year due to bad losses from scotch corner?

 

Is it true? anyone know if they are racing from there this year.

 

Major road works in the Scotch Corner area for the next 30 weeks!!

 

Dont know what is getting done , they just had signs and cones laid everywhere last week.

dunno of any racing from there dave, we are racing from witton castle instead of scotch corner, we never gave scotch corner much of a chance really, our bad race from there was down to bad race controlling and nothing else, others have had good racing from there

i'm not near any of the race points but I am smack in the middle of the country near Milton Keynes if you need a line of flight report for your longer races - trouble is, depending on wind they are usually up the West or up the East.
