99 GREAT RACES   1  BAD RACE AND YOU ARE IN TROUBLE                            

 

LANARKSHIRE HUSNAE EVEN HAD A BAD RACE YET THIS YEAR AND ALL THE HAWF WITS ARE SAYING THE FED IS A JOKE : : :

i'm new to the sport alf, but personally i would'nt take on the job as you are on a hiding to nothing , no matter how hard you try too cover all the weather angles, it has to be a thankless job but as they say some one has to do it, not for me though.

Sorry Someone hasn't got to do it... and it is harder every season to get a thick skinned fellow to stand up to the plate ... mind that won't stop the long knives being drawn.... never has and can't see it happening now.

Race controlling is easy when the weather is good but when you have weather like this weekend i dont care how much experience you have(and we have some very experienced and dedicated controlers) you still need the wee man on your shoulder goold luck to all who do this thankless job and keep up the good work remember you wont please the lot all the time!!!

controllers do a good job they can only go by what info they get, and as u know in every aspect of pigeon racing u never can please evertone, its impossible in the pigeon game, keep up the good work controllers just remember there would be no racing without you.

yes i agree ,, they havea lot on their plate, and can be a thankless job , as no matter what decision is made ,, it wont please everyone, ,,,, only one thing, i would rather be a race controller today ,,than, say 30 years ago,, [more modern technology now, to try and get things right]

I would just like to say that the people who say Lanarkshire is a joke when it comes to race controlling.I would like to state that JIM HANNAH is and will continue to do a first class job along with the others who assist him in the fed.I work with Jim every week at federation level and at national level and we are doing our very best for the birds all the time.We do everything we can to get the birds home from the races in good time.I would like to point out that last weekend we worked from 6am until 2pm and on Sunday from 6am until we got uor birds up at 10.15am.Both our feds Lanarkshire and the Northwest got a race from 150mls with 85% of the birds home may be up to 94% now Tuesday we will always loose birds but that happens to everyone but trust me when i say the word that you are looking for to describe your race control team and leader is VERY PROFESSIONAL and you are lucky to have a man in charge of your birds like Jim.

Great reply, good of yer. I will say in my expierence that it IS THE very ones who love the sport, have not only their's but the clubs,fed, indeed every fanciers best interest at heart and go out painstakingly each week from Thursday monitoring to getting up 4 in morning lib day and work hard up and down the Flight way via Phone and also the side from where the weather is coming in. And get paid nowt!

I praise and honour each and everyone of the! See some loverly fella's brought to tears and ill healthy through ignorant self cads that harp on at them with a few brain dead cells.
