Its your local council environmental health department you want to call ASAP.

Rats are classed as vermin, and this department is responsible for getting rid of them.

The quicker you call them in the better, someone else may see them and before you know it you and your pigeons will be getting the blame of causing them.

is ther no recipe for a  lethal mixture of sommit to kill thm

Aye, we used to use antifreeze in the pits, soak bread in it, only trouble is keeping it fom other animals, wasnae a problem in the pits :)

Rats don't like something new. Find their run and hole. put a brick next to it, then a bucket something different each day. They don't like change so move things round every day. Rat moves next door.

Mars bar on a  break back trap under a ridge tile should the trick... Rats always scurry along wall sides etc so trap placemet is important...you should be able to see a run which ratty uses....and place the trap there.

I noticed form a previous picture of you birds that you have quite a few gaps in your loft panels etc......block these up...to stop ratty getting in and worrying them....

I have had YB's killed by rats................

Ali, by the time you mess about with fancy traps etc, you'd be as well buying a cheap little terrier which will get rid of them and keep them away, year after year, don't forget if they have been once they will return just my opinion.

For once I have to agree with celtic :B a terrier is your best bet, company waiting for the doos and a A1 rat killing machine

Aye and good for cats :)

Fair play; have i had a difference of opinion with you in the past ? i certainly don't remember even having replied to any of your threads before, you must be getting me mixed up with someone else..
