If you remember last week about the wormer tablets that was for sale by walter, well i never heard of any one getting any of them, anyway  it all went dead when he was asked for the address where to send the cheque too, anyway thats bye bye.

 

I would just like to mention this one about the flagyl tablets that was for sale by trinny, yesterday they were getting advertised for 10p each, minimum 50, well when i saw this i cantacted them right away to ask how many could i get, the reply was as many as you like, sounded like they had loads to get rid off.

 

I sent them a PM this morning telling them that i will be sending £20 to them but i need there address where to send it too, they read the PM and didnt even get back to me to say they have all been sold.

 

Well i can tell you one thing, this is another sting thats been rumbled by the members on here, stopping people like this getting money from us pigeon people.

Scam or Not, yes in my eyes it was just a SCAM.

maybe ip addy could be found out and their address ?

scam id say,if they were genuine they would have said gis ur name we will get back to u when we get more..or there abouts.

The thing is they could be on another site trying to rip people off, and maybe get away with it.

 

The rule should be made, if you are selling something your address should run with it, and maybe this could be checked out.

if its too good to be true it usualy is im sure if i was to buy meds to bring in i would do the following 1 have enough for myself 2 have orders for the rest 3 wouldnt advertise as its illegal to sell prescribe medicines

I think webmaster should impose a ruling on advertising, either by not allowing adverts until a certain amount of posts have been made or preapproving adds before they are posted!

Yes i totally agree with you mate, it was just the way trinny went about it that made me very angry,  > > > if i had bought the £20 worth, they were not just for me, i have friends in the pigeon game that would have loved to have some free for there birds.

 

I dont mind helping other people out with things that i have got plenty off.

 

Also i doo think that the webmaster should step in here and stop all these rat bags trying to con people.

 

If you are selling anything, then you shouldnt be worried about giving out your address to whoever requires it, if you doo then you have got something to hide.

 

Anyway i would still like to purchase some flagyl for the young birds if anyone can help me. Any PMS welcome only on the flagyl tablets.   :)

maybe the advertising section should have restrictions on it and anybody placing adds on the notice board etc should have them removed imediatly!

There is in place a rule in the for sale section but they by-pass it be advertising on other boards, the last one was on the pigeon health I think, the trouble is I was ripped off by a veteran on the site who had 883 posts to his name :-/

Aye, but the good thing about forums like this is the network of informing other forum members of the cons and scams that are out there and the people that are running them.

The trouble is some are frightened it might do damage if they are highlighted and tar the site, personally I think informing members and getting rid of these things makes the forums stronger and better, if I did not post all that happened to me a lot more members on this and site and a few other sites may have been ripped off as well

I have been asked by other sites to post what happened to alert members to the pitfalls that I fell into :-/

I think if someone buys something the money should be sent to a third party who holds the funds until a PM from buyer confirms transcation OK, 10% then deducted for PB blance sent to the seller.

 

However fully aware that it is another job for someone with probably too much to do already.

HE WAS TRYING TO GET A PIGEON RETREVAL SERVICE GOING ,YOU HAD TO BECOME A MEMBER OF HIS CLUB [sPEED FREAK STRAY MEMBERS CLUB ] HE SAID HE WOULD GET YOUR STRAYS BACK TO YOU FOR A ONE OFF PAYMENT OF £60 and you could also get tests on your birds once a month for a further £40 ayear ,he stated that he had vans runing the country delivering goods and that he would pick up lost birds and deliver to your door ,and that he goes to ireland once a month to a labortary that tests dropings ,he advertised in the BHW,it all seemd genuine ,i like to think that i am pretty shrewd but he took me for £100 plus god knows how many others ,he even sent me a membership card ,people tried to get birds picked up but it did not happen he sudenly became ill and could not get about ,that is what he told traiding standards when they called ,and people would get their money back ,that did not happen either ,i cant wait untill i am fishing up there i will make him a personal visit ,ATB les
