frank-123 Posted July 7, 2008 Report Posted July 7, 2008 around 170 i think with snrpc. read previous post sapper
sapper756 Posted July 7, 2008 Report Posted July 7, 2008 read previous post sapper I did, it says "I think", I asked for the official birdage
budgie Posted July 7, 2008 Report Posted July 7, 2008 i could be wrong here, the last time a national was won in lanark was the snfc gold cup from rennes won by j wilson & son in 1960, the son being robert wilson of the wilson & jack partnership, well done. :) :)subject to confirmation. Taking nothing away from this game pigeon flying in to the hardest route of them all but lets consider the birdage 2008 :-170 birds 1960:-4960 birds with a vel of 731.Its time both clubs were getting back together and flying as a Unit. :(

frank-123 Posted July 7, 2008 Report Posted July 7, 2008 budgie what a wise post lets get at least to the same race point next year for tours/messac race at least have a joint liberation it would be a start on the hard road to get both to join together again many members race in both organisations or maybe the ypres race next year snfc get the invite out now
JADE Posted July 7, 2008 Report Posted July 7, 2008 totally agree there is not enough members or birds to sustain two national clubs in scotland. there were members from snrpc at the Ypres race.
frank-123 Posted July 7, 2008 Report Posted July 7, 2008 Does your veiws on birdage apply to the tours race you entered sorry to answer for budgie but the snfc birdage was poor as well but two race's on the same weekend never helped joint liberation's to start with then both organisations keep there own id's do you think that would help to heal some difference's
Guest Posted July 7, 2008 Report Posted July 7, 2008 The healing process might happen one day if the snfc drops its ruiling that you must be a member of the shu
frank-123 Posted July 7, 2008 Report Posted July 7, 2008 maybe associated member of the shu where you pay £1 dues only thing you can do is race in the snfc/snrpc races but have no voting power in the shu but are still members of the rpra like that idea or rubbish

You guys up there, know what distance racing is all about, more so, maybe, than most of us, down here. WHO WANTS A NATIONAL WITH UNDER 200 BIRDS COMPETING? C'mon you Jocks, Get your act together! I am certain that if we all flew under the rules of the RPRA AND THE SHU (Combined). Which could happen in a month or two, there would be no animosity throughout the game whatsoever. We, and I mean WE are the only ones who can keep this GREAT GAME GOING. There are too many of US dropping OFF our perches these days. LOL.

johno Posted July 7, 2008 Report Posted July 7, 2008 all should stay as they are. the subject just encourages repetition of old issues. if you do not want to join do not join.
Novice Posted July 7, 2008 Report Posted July 7, 2008 all should stay as they are. the subject just encourages repetition of old issues. if you do not want to join do not join. I do believe that it is too soon for reconciliation. However I should add that RPRA membership at £4.50 per loft and all measurements free with a great backup service looks like a bargain to me. We seem to have new race points every year.
johno Posted July 7, 2008 Report Posted July 7, 2008 the push for joining seems to be one way. maybe sound management and the gold medal are the lure.
