I know we are up in Scotland and a long way from Wales but we have Friends in the Rhonnda, it goes without saying that we will assist in any way we can.

Our thoughts are with the owners, can't even begin to imagine how they must be feeling!

It's OK getting someone to inform, which helps greatly, but the police still need to get the evidence to prove the case.  It is imperative that the police come on board at an early stage, and that the scene of the crime is preserved for evidential purposes, ie left totally untouched, so that photographs, and proper examinations can be undertaken.  It may be the last thing on the owner's mind, but has to be done.  Apologies if I sound as though I'm preaching!  Is someone getting posters up in the area offering the reward?  

 

As this is a Nationwide problem, it would be a good idea for the RPRA/WHU to get involved to lobby MPs', police etc., to get some action.

I coudn't agree more. CCTV has already been mentioned, and I should think that other evidence would be available.

 

Difficult I know, but basically need to put the emotion to one side and let professionals do their job. Time that there was success in detecting these crime, as fear of being caught and facing the consequences is a deterrent in itself.

Don't apologize for showing concern, its going to be appreciated throughout the community.  The Gill Bros are very well known where we are and as a closely knit community it won't take long for the grapevine to get the message over to find these people.  I'm sure there are more than one poster from our area who'll keep everyone upated as well.

Fellow Flyers

 

I have been asked by my father Mike Gill and my uncle Brian Gill to thank all of their fellow members and flyers who have shown their support on what they discovered this morning.

66 birds were killed in total 1st federation winners, 1st south section winners, 1st centre section winners. Numerous other club and fed winners.

Their 4th national bonn 2008 bird killed their 7th national 1st centre section Giessen bird 2008 which a photo is on the giessen page on this web site killed flew all those miles then killed in his loft.

The list goes on their are totally heartbroken I hope they will carry on and show these thugs or names I cannont describe in this column they cannot let them win this is what they wanted they are disscusing to carry on or not tonight I   again hope they do.

Once again the CCTV info we are still waiting for and my father and Brian would also like to offer a reward for any information that leads to prosecution of a £1000

Like to note after last nights discussion we are going to carry on. We have decided we are going to carry on and cannot let these thugs destroy our hard work.

Next year will be difficult but we can only start again. We have in total approx 30 birds left with our only birds that did make it through the massacre got and could not be reached in the averies.

What we have left of our out remaining young birds we left them out this morning they went well and we think we can salavge a small team that can go to the RAMSGATE national to represent our lofts and our birds that were killed.

IF you has a PERSON who did this is reading this you have not won and will NOT finnish us.

I know what you were saying and would probably do the same as anyone else but end up getting done for it, the best way to deal with scum like this is to help them across the road when they least expect it.  That road being the M25
