Chairman Posted October 29, 2008 Report Posted October 29, 2008 Right stop messing about, lets have a good and honest debate for the benefit of us all, I shall now put the question to you all--- Q.ARE THERE THREE TYPES OF RACING PIGEON, i.e. SPRINT / MIDDLE DISTANCE / EXTREME DISTANCE ? now then before the website gets jammed up OR IS IT WHAT AND HOW YOU FEED / MANAGE THEM? right lads lets have a fair and equal debate.
paddymac Posted October 29, 2008 Report Posted October 29, 2008 Jack, don't know of the breed but j bambling on this site has very good birds. P. Breslin & Son have had a really good season flying into one of the hardest routes in the mighty NIPA Derry City. In the last YB national they topped the fed in a very difficult race.

Tony C Posted October 30, 2008 Report Posted October 30, 2008 In Dagenham there’s two north road Feds we’re eligible to fly in, the West Essex and the County of Essex feds. The race programs consist of 23 races of which 19 are under 230miles. The terrain we race over is as flat as you can get in this country, no valleys/mountains or water to cross, its a case of them getting their heads down and going, in other words Ideal for sprint racing. Both of the top fliers in their respective Feds race Vandenabeele’s.
Guest strapper Posted October 30, 2008 Report Posted October 30, 2008 i think any successful fancier will win with any sprint bird, its the make up of preparation and motivation. together with a good line of winning pigeons. i know my frank tasker birds will be one of my main scorers ,but i have a few others that will make the grade too,as i said ...preparation and motivation. and one thing you dont want ..is a neighbour who bangs an shouts at their dog when ur birds arrive lol. but a fav of mine is staff van reets.
taffacre Posted October 30, 2008 Report Posted October 30, 2008 Staff van reets for me,will sprint and do the distance!!!
