Hi all

Does any one no what is the longest pigeon race in in the world

I no the hardest is the France race in to Ireland

I dont know about longest but the hardest in my opinion would have to be the China Beijing International One Loft Race, you just had to see what the olympics was like to understand how hard this race is, that race takes no prisioners im sure.

;DChina with out doubt. They are also able to have Trilers where this is no water to cross over, but often rugged terrain. 3000 miles has been banted about, but don't know i any have done it etc. Albetross have done the 3000 miles, and one was just over 6 days I believe,

Many don't realise that Albetrosses home too like pigeons... but need big lofts, and plenty of fish... golly what a stink to scrap out eh!

yes, this is true,, but i think there were pigeons flew  into scotland from barcelona , well over 1000 miles ,, must have been roughly 1,200 miles  , maybe even more,, the brittish barcelona club?,, i remember my brother joining this  for me about 40 years ago  ;D but at that time , i could hardly fly 300 miles ;D

Australia and America have some very long races, i also heard of a very long race into Eastern Europe.

But for me if you can get pigeons into both Scotland and Ireland at 800 plus miles there isnt a harder test anywhere.

Yes been a few 1000 milers, indeed the turn of the last centuary Jackson was flying Yearlings over the 1000 miles.

Then Bilco organised the Rome race that was over a 1000 miles to most.

But in the states there is a 1000 mile club. And I I was involved in setting up the 'Pickle lake' in Canada where some do the 1000 miles.

Indeed on Canada Day we were, and some are still hopefully doing Canada distance day on that day. This did get a lot of Media Cover.

But we must be looking at Asia where some have the terrain etc. China, like I say, does do trialers as to races. But then they do do I believe races of over a 1000 miles.

Golly had it all once at my finger tips... then two P.c. crashes, bad with doing saving discs, and lost discs...
