Guest redwhiteblue Posted September 15, 2008 Report Posted September 15, 2008 It is now the end of season , who do you think is the fancier of the year as there has been a lot of individual performances but the ones listed above are the ones I think have been the best in Scotland this year
rembrant2coo Posted September 15, 2008 Report Posted September 15, 2008 I wondered who picked them when i seen them , but your perogative mate , theres a lot of good performances been put up and its the same year after year with the blinkers on
Guest IB Posted September 15, 2008 Report Posted September 15, 2008 Personally (1) I think it is very difficult to compare performances and (2) fancier of the year means much more to me than 'just' performances. What individuals have done as Ambassador for, or Advancement of the sport is probably more important than performances.
Delboy Posted September 15, 2008 Report Posted September 15, 2008 RankinEEE, big George wont like that one, Rankin with an E
Guest Gareth Rankin Posted September 15, 2008 Report Posted September 15, 2008 RankinEEE, big George wont like that one, Rankin with an E > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Although we have had a fantastic year flying to our location in Larkhall Dennis Anderson is a very good winner as he has the best co-eficent over the three channel races and has also the best average over the 6 races. Thanks for the Nomination Redblueandpink but you really must learn how to spell Rankin.
OLDYELLOW Posted September 15, 2008 Report Posted September 15, 2008 lol @ pink a white shade of pale
knoxjn Posted September 15, 2008 Report Posted September 15, 2008 john bosworth he has been outstanding and another visit to the winners enclosure
Guest redwhiteblue Posted September 15, 2008 Report Posted September 15, 2008 These 4 lofts are my selection of the winners of their rightful sections in the snfc, obviously there are alot more fanciers who have put in first class performances, Stuart Milne of Glasgow, Wilcox of Peterhead, Ferguson of Annan, Bill Pirrie, Willie Hay of Fife, the lists goes on and on.
Pego Posted September 15, 2008 Report Posted September 15, 2008 B Chalmers Kennoway (thunderbigbaws) is my top candidate from Fife Fed.
Whats it called Cumbernauld Posted September 15, 2008 Report Posted September 15, 2008 Personally (1) I think it is very difficult to compare performances and (2) fancier of the year means much more to me than 'just' performances. What individuals have done as Ambassador for, or Advancement of the sport is probably more important than performances. Could not agree more. The way that the top men inter act with other fanciers,is also of great importance. This is why that some members of this site will never win this title. Respect Rab Smith
Taylorsloft Posted September 15, 2008 Report Posted September 15, 2008 gordon willox from peterhead on winning the gold cup easy :) ;D ;D
Guest IB Posted September 15, 2008 Report Posted September 15, 2008 In my own Section D, and even although he is not in my Federation, John McNeill, Broxburn would be my choice. In addition to Federation, SNFC and SNRPC performances, AND competing from beginning to end of season, I believe he and his wife are involved in annual fundraising for St John's Hospital, Livingston.
Guest Posted September 15, 2008 Report Posted September 15, 2008 how many times has a national been won in the north section i am told only 3 times if this is true g willox is a truely outstanding achievement
rednyellow Posted September 15, 2008 Report Posted September 15, 2008 well i would like to nominate my mum & dad without them this year i would have struggled to get to any races due mostly to work commitments, they are always ready to do what needs doing mum getting me a dinner ready when training late after work, dad with the birds ready am or pm for training or racing, yes any wins or national prizes are a big bonus, but sometimes we forget about just enjoying the doos, i realise this is not really what "redwhiteblue" is after so will throw in peter virtue of co/path top drawer 500ml performances. :) :) :)
DOVEScot Posted September 15, 2008 Report Posted September 15, 2008 me I second that, awards so far that would justify it Mr Pigeon basics 2008 Mr and Mrs Pigeon Basics 2008 Ticket at Blackpool on his first time entering Pulling and trapping a gorgeous English bird on the site Top poster on site for the last two years Need I say more :X

IB, Why don't you put him forward for the Annie R Bowes trophy? I think there is only 3 nominations in at the moment
