Oldpigeonclocks Posted January 19, 2009 Report Posted January 19, 2009 Hello everybody, I have made an invention for an easy drum conversion which I will start selling at the Blackpool show. I have made a short video and would like to give you guys a preview. You can find the video at: I am very interested in your reaction! Regards, Gerwin Basch
Oldpigeonclocks Posted January 19, 2009 Author Report Posted January 19, 2009 It has been passed by the nehu and the rpra promised they will pass it in februari.
red schalie Posted January 19, 2009 Report Posted January 19, 2009 Gerwin that looks a great idea. How much do they cost? Regards Bob Pickering
Guest Posted January 19, 2009 Report Posted January 19, 2009 looks great where do we buy it and how much? and does it come back out
Oldpigeonclocks Posted January 19, 2009 Author Report Posted January 19, 2009 I wanted to sell them under 20 pounds, but with todays rate I will have to sell it for 25 pounds per clock (a set of 12).
Big Davie Posted January 19, 2009 Report Posted January 19, 2009 Looks great Gerwin, but i think it would have to be approved by the British unions before it could be used in the uk. Davie
Geraint Parry Posted January 19, 2009 Report Posted January 19, 2009 you would need 12 of these for a T3 12 chamber clock?
Oldpigeonclocks Posted January 19, 2009 Author Report Posted January 19, 2009 looks great where do we buy it and how much? and does it come back out They do not come out. Once fitted it is impossible to remove them.
Guest Posted January 19, 2009 Report Posted January 19, 2009 i dont like it that much £25 what do you mean set of 12?
Oldpigeonclocks Posted January 19, 2009 Author Report Posted January 19, 2009 i dont like it that much £25 what do you mean set of 12? You need a set of 12 boxes, because the drum has 12 chambers.
REDCHEQHEN Posted January 19, 2009 Report Posted January 19, 2009 It has been passed by the nehu and the rpra promised they will pass it in februari. I don't know about your version - but you're a bit behind the times -the NEHU passed the use of T3's to be used without thimbles or conversion - at fliers own risk
Oldpigeonclocks Posted January 19, 2009 Author Report Posted January 19, 2009 I don't know about your version - but you're a bit behind the times -the NEHU passed the use of T3's to be used without thimbles or conversion - at fliers own risk Which is something I don't understand.. If you use them without conversion and without thimbles the risk that a ring gets stuck somewhere in the season is almost 100%.
Guest Posted January 19, 2009 Report Posted January 19, 2009 are thease to stop the rubber jaming and with all due respect i think your market is going to be limeted due to ets and if fanciers like me who are long distance so 10 seconds dont realy mean that much if you want to compete sprinting ets would help more than this so £25 quid might be on the steep side just my view but looks great well done
fred x Posted January 19, 2009 Report Posted January 19, 2009 Click & Clock Look great M8 I would like the "OK" & tested from the RPRA , WELL DONE
Chairman Posted January 19, 2009 Report Posted January 19, 2009 Great Idea Gerwin, now then thats "put the cat amongst the pigeons" who's taking their clocks to Blackpool now? to be charged a lot more for a drum conversion at £45 -£55 inc p+p. If the NEHU have approved it most probably the RPRA will follow suit in february. how long will these chambers take to fit or will you supply them Gerwin for the fancier to fit themselves? Please PM me Gerwin and I shall order mine with you now! Come on boys don't get ripped off with the clock companies.
david.j Posted January 19, 2009 Report Posted January 19, 2009 brilliant idea just paid £40 to have mine done last week
Tony C Posted January 19, 2009 Report Posted January 19, 2009 Do they come with a guarantee? Once in they cant be removed! How does one get it removed/replaced if it breaks? What type of discount you do a offer on say 30 x sets of 12

You never had a thimble go in a T3 lop sided and jam or shoot out when you strike the clock, lucky if you haven't.
Guest bigda Posted January 20, 2009 Report Posted January 20, 2009 You never had a thimble go in a T3 lop sided and jam or shoot out when you strike the clock, lucky if you haven't. what mate,a thimble, this is thimble'ss i will tell you this if the rubber caught on the flap and did not go in the chamber correct its void, also and as far as jambing a thimble side aways there is no panic they are made of plastic smash turn up side down and re install, but if every second counts get ets problem solved ;D ;D
