Has anyone ever had bother with crows going into there loft and taken eggs or young from the nest?

yes, they will be carrion crows, once they get into ur birds they will not give up, I had to stop racing one year, they were taking my old birds out of the sky, lost 8 in one year, they are worse than hawks if they are in ur area, and you cant touch them , carrions are classed as vermon but a heavy fine if you didturb them or destroy them, they take over their area when nesting ,will chase anything even hawks, but hawks always come back, pm me if you want. for more info, hawks kill to feed carrions kill all the time,

I have a pair nest in the tree over from me, dont get much bother from them, but they keep the gulls and the hawks away from the area.

yes had bother with them once or twice in about 5 years , but they keep away sparrowhawks

Had trouble only once, last year during OBs when one crow went mental on me and attacked OBs as soon as they landed from exercise. Went on for weeks (tried to nail it) then stopped as suddenly as it had started. Late in the year before I got my YBs out just couldn't risk them being scattered to 4 winds.

Coincidence? Only once had trouble from a sparrowhawk - last year during OBs. Crows usually harass them and buzzards right across sky here.

I don't feed them or anything like that, quite happy as long as they don't come near my garden, same as magpies, if they do, I chase them.

Believe me I have seen the devastation  a pair of carrion crows can do to a loft, killing youngsters on the ground, picking birds out the sky, and going into the loft and eating eggs and squabs, They are crafty birds, they sit next to your team for days, giving your birds a false sense of security, then all of a sudden they attack. You tend to get trouble when one single pair are dominating an area, as i have a few pairs in my area, but they are always too busy fighting each other, however, I never underestimate the unpredictability of these killers. :-/
