REDCHEQHEN Posted February 7, 2009 Report Posted February 7, 2009 The only way to work out fairly would be on co-efficients - the number of birds in the race and position of yours whether its club fed combine or national velocities are no good - unless its the same race point, same day
hotrod Posted February 7, 2009 Report Posted February 7, 2009 The only way to work out fairly would be on co-efficients - the number of birds in the race and position of yours whether its club fed combine or national velocities are no good - unless its the same race point, same day good comment red also weather conditions as well, and im like you frank if it was 480miles i would be in as well, as long as lillers is 480 or over lol
Guest Posted February 7, 2009 Report Posted February 7, 2009 i was just thinking that stuart about lillers dont know the distance was thinking of arras which was 487 to me if not i would have to go to the gold medal race too far for a yearling i think
OLDYELLOW Posted February 7, 2009 Author Report Posted February 7, 2009 well 2 fanciers have taken an intrest one flys 481 other 482 so im happy to drop the distance to 480 mile so we can get more on board and call it the Pigeon Basics Distance Challenge , but has to be within 480 miles to no more than 600 if everyone agrees then its not excluding those who cant get any further miles than stated
hotrod Posted February 7, 2009 Report Posted February 7, 2009 i was just thinking that stuart about lillers dont know the distance was thinking of arras which was 487 to me if not i would have to go to the gold medal race too far for a yearling i think just a bit mate ,im thinking lillers is about 10 miles less than arras, if thats the case we would be borderline, arras to me 496

Guest Posted February 7, 2009 Report Posted February 7, 2009 i think mark was saying that he would accept 480 to 600 miles as a lot of races were at or about the 500 mile mark

OLDYELLOW Posted February 7, 2009 Author Report Posted February 7, 2009 well lets start again and make it between 400 to 500 miles maximum and see if we can get a few more or everyone intrested state your longest distance you can fly below 500 miles which in my case would be around 420 miles
hotrod Posted February 7, 2009 Report Posted February 7, 2009 well lets start again and make it between 400 to 500 miles maximum and see if we can get a few more or everyone intrested state your longest distance you can fly below 500 miles which in my case would be around 420 miles im in then definately ,wether i send or not , hopefully it will be the former
Guest Posted February 7, 2009 Report Posted February 7, 2009 got to watch you dont push out the fanciers that want to make it 500mls but a great idea to start with
OLDYELLOW Posted February 7, 2009 Author Report Posted February 7, 2009 420 is that a sprint race 420 i would say middle distance but a good limit for yearlings for those that didnt want to push them
hotrod Posted February 7, 2009 Report Posted February 7, 2009 old yellow why not just say races over 450 miles for yearlings dont limit the distance be it 750 miles or more
OLDYELLOW Posted February 7, 2009 Author Report Posted February 7, 2009 got to watch you dont push out the fanciers that want to make it 500mls but a great idea to start with im trying to come up with something most can join in without excluding most as can't get past 500 miles with there feds so i thought better to do 400 miles to a maximum of 500 miles then hopefully those wanting to take part can
Fife_pigeon_wife Posted February 7, 2009 Report Posted February 7, 2009 can my partner and myself send 2 each. flying to the same loft?
Guest Posted February 7, 2009 Report Posted February 7, 2009 I would like it to be it 400 miles+NATIONAL competition only with no replacement birds. ;) remember they are yearlings ;)
