Good flying m8,surely, must be  the best record in SNFC at this distance. Never had them that far but would like to give it a go. Have been 2nd & 5th west section, 11th & 30th open Tours 628 mls in only 3 attempts at over 600 mls.

never mind snfc , must be the best if not ,one of the best records in britain. :)

Tours that's only sprint racing :P :P :P ;D ;D ;D ;D only kidding Delboy that's a good record you have in only 3 attempts, I ::) ::)wonder who beat you in the section when you were 2nd west section 11th open.

I was beat by someone flying about 50 miles south east of me. His name was George Rankin, dont know if his son is still helping him. :P ;D ;D Memory serves me right my doo sat out for 15 minutes, might have caught the lucky winner. :P

What is your favourite race or race that you allway's seem to do well in, mines is maidstone 385miles flown 4/5 times always won ,1.2.3 twice as well , worst fed position was 5th

got to say my best race has always been the week before the snfc "gold cup" usually dorchester, maidstone or salisbury 350-380 mls, since 1983 we have won what we call the coast race 16 times in club racing taking top fed positions.the best spell,

              1st club 1st section 1st federation open maidstone 1999 vel 976

              1st club 1st section 1st federation open maidstone 2000 vel 980

              1st club 1st section 1st federation open maidstone 2001 vel 1482

the year 2000 was definately the best, flown as an amalgamation race with lanarkshire federation with just under 2800 birds we were 1st,4th & 7th amalgamation timing 3 hens in under 10 mins in what turned out to be a very testing race, trying not to blow ones trumpet both myself and partner are very proud of these performances. :) :)

again brilliant performances mate this is why i put this thread on as most fanciers have a particular race thats either lucky/good to/for them ,it would be better if more posted to see their best races instead of looking in but saying nothing

Yes John, your dad and yourself dominated the coast race in the Milton of Campsie club and then came to the big  Kirkintilloch club and won it 3 years in a row from 99/2001. Good going m8. I like this race myself as Ive won it 6 or 7 times in recent years, :P

Just my opinion but do these Niort and Tours races really attract the best pigeons in scotland?i thought the gold cup was for the best pigeons in scotland.Niort and Tours races get a very small entry for a start and to be honest are made up of ALENCON and FALAISE failures also the winning pigeons are hours and hours apart still i suppose its good getting them home.
