why as there is only 20 + miles of a difference, and it has been clarified last year that if race cancelled or brought back then fed will carry on with race programme.

because that,s what was passed at the meeting to discuss the race programme, why change this decision as Ripon is 147 miles and Wakefield is 28 miles further at 175, not exactly a big difference even for you bigda who gets a nose bleed going by 100 miles. :P

if you want to quote gareth  was in not the case that the birds had to stay at the race point and not move

Does thats not just apply to young ones??  taking them back to the original race points.. might be wrong but.. :-/ :-/

gareth it is   97 mile hexham  put them in to wakefield182 mile  thats 86 mile jump  now that suits you and the distance man,  as your national race is coming around,  we then have another jump the next week of 48 mile  thats  within reason  and as the fed is  there representing  lanarkshire  not the national i see no reason that going back to ripon,  it  is in the best interest of the birds and  fed with  8,000 birds going, it helps to keep the wolf away from the door, as with  500 doos max,  dose nothing for the fed, and you are  quick to support the national, but want to control the fed at the same time  you will have to  take one of your hands out the sweetie jar gareth ;):):D

Was it not said at the AGM that we could drop 1 of the comeback races if we had a problem like yesterday where we had to come back to a shorter racepoint and then revert back to the programme?

According to the FED BOOK CONSTITIUTION OF RULES NUMBER 32

(a) in old bird races, will have the power to bring back to another race point or return them to the club.

(B) in young bird races, can bring them back to another race point or return them to club. The birds will return to the missed race point the following week and races put back a week.

yes  alf,  there was also  photos to be taken of lib sites,  mobile calls to be maid, birds to stay  at sites, and be on site on time, water to be checked sites to be use with facilities for drivers and  convoyer hygiene,   it was never mentioned that we  jump races  if the transporter stayed  we would have raced today or Monday from ripon, thats what was agreed
