Guest Posted July 5, 2009 Report Posted July 5, 2009 unless you know that bird is out wild for few weeks it is not acceptable practise to remove rubber or ets were do you get the idea it is vincent Personally i would not remove anything, but is it not traditional among some to remove the rubber after the bird has been cared for for a couple of days therefore the pigeons race is over anyway.Do not really appreciate what relevance being out for a couple of weeks brings to things.I have said it is my opinion removing the ets ring is an out and out act of badness among anti ets fanciers and that is my opinion. And as i have already stated i am not a ets user.
Guest stb Posted July 5, 2009 Report Posted July 5, 2009 the ets ring does store the members loft no, and the club officials and clock setters that assign rings would know the loft number of the stolen ring, they should then inform the union and deal with the offender, unless a satisfactory is given as to why he has an other members ets ring. I dont think people take them of to use them, more likley to be they dont agree with ets or to let you know that its been in somewhere
Guest HighSpeedLofts Posted July 5, 2009 Report Posted July 5, 2009 I dont think people take them of to use them, more likley to be they dont agree with ets or to let you know that its been in somewhere i agree but i think its mostly to let you know the birds been in else where i dont know anyone who is anti ets suppose there will be a few
THE FIFER Posted July 5, 2009 Report Posted July 5, 2009 the ets ring does store the members loft no, and the club officials and clock setters that assign rings would know the loft number of the stolen ring, they should then inform the union and deal with the offender, unless a satisfactory is given as to why he has an other members ets ring. 100% correct m8
Guest bigda Posted July 6, 2009 Report Posted July 6, 2009 what would you do if your bird got reported and you sent for it £30 and it had the ETS ring removed by some one else before it was reported, do you first ask the reporter has it got its ets ring on, if not i don't want it back if it goes into more then two lofts then the ring is more valuable than the bird :-/ ;D
Guest HighSpeedLofts Posted July 6, 2009 Report Posted July 6, 2009 yeah they would send a courier for it cost them £30 for a £1 ring
Guest stb Posted July 6, 2009 Report Posted July 6, 2009 i agree but i think its mostly to let you know the birds been in else where i dont know anyone who is anti ets suppose there will be a few there are many here who are anti, but look on the bright side they could have cut its reg ring of and left your ets ring on just to let you know that it would not drop in from a race again,
Guest slugmonkey Posted July 6, 2009 Report Posted July 6, 2009 What rings are you guys using !!! they dont store info only a code this is matched in your clock if anothers bird arrives it states unregistered or unassigned it dosent tell you whos bird it is
Guest slugmonkey Posted July 6, 2009 Report Posted July 6, 2009 P.S. reassigning a ring is a pain in the A#$ on loading night I AM a sec and I know you have to stop, put clock in diffrent mode and scan new band and on some systems it wont let you assign new band once loading has started AND some areas will not let you put on new chip thus ending racing for that bird that year
PIGEON_MAN Posted July 6, 2009 Report Posted July 6, 2009 The ring dosent store any info it is merely coded with a number your computer matches the number to the birds info in your computer all you have to do is re enter this number as another birds you guys are making this way too sinister some body trapped this bird and removed the ring and is probably using it on another pigeon because they are a cheap bas%&*@ !!!!! The rings over here do store the owners loft number, this is put in when the rings are allocated to the pigeon.
