I don't know, as I've not bothered to take my ET set up out the box yet, but if the rings are Platic, or even metal, I'd wager super glue sticking them together would be of putting. What  if one sells the birds? Then it is broken and raced... Rubber only I guess. No a sharp pair of snippets, a saw etc. would no doubt remove it.

If your birds did not stray in to others lofts then they would still have there ets rings maybe its the fancier taking them of to let you know your birds been in to there loft also on a post  on here about removing birds rubbers if they come in to your loft as most of you said the birds race was over as soon as it went in to another loft i personally would not reove the rubbers i would give the bird a feed and send it on its way theres been birds in other lofts for a drink or feed and carried on to win big races it will be the members on here who said they would remove the rubbers that remove ets rings aswell

bang out of order taking the ets ring off   its nothing more than theft  if they wanted to let the fancier know that the bird had been in a simple note in the ring stating time and fanciers name address contact number  and most likely would have contacted him to thank him

many good friendships been made this way

black wf you were one of the ones who said you would reove a birds rubber if it coe in to your loft as its race was over theres no difference

Won't stop.... just the anti brigade making a point. Fair dues, no caring personally. If it comes about that I set mine up and 40 go missing in a season even ... is but short change to A. have a steal and advantage over those that don't have.

And B. would be well worth a quid to let me know one strike more and out.... indeed 99% of the time Be better not to send the bird backkk just post the ring lol as that is worth more than the bird.... and cost of feeding it, clean up after it, and having it breed culls every flipping where lol  :P;) ;D ;D ;D

Did i say my birds didnt go in other lofts? they dont seem to get reported  either and i would rather have my bird back without its ring than just get the ring back crying over £1 the fanciers on here who have ets and remove other birds rubbers if they come in loft deserve to get there bird back without its ets and nagid  who do you think you are dr doolittle

no im dr help anybody and its not the pound were bothered about.i thought maybe yours had mobile phones

so what is it that you are worried about then as the rings totally useless to any other fancier  just like a straying bird is also useless to another fancier

The ring dosent store any info it is merely coded with a number

your computer matches the number to the birds info in your computer all you have to do is re enter this number as another birds

you guys are making this way too sinister some body trapped this bird and removed the ring and is probably using it on another pigeon because they are a cheap bas%&*@ !!!!!

I put a note on saying what time the bird trapped and who I am then release after feed and water

I lost a bird in texas the guy brought him to oklahoma and released him I then raced him the next week and he won the race !!

I use super glue as well

we have a couple of guys who move the bands onto the birds they are racing every week and then remove them upon arrival

what a waste of time

The reason for these rings being removed is anti ets fanciers and tight fanciers that want to reassign the rings. But i would guess 99% is anti ets.

sure when the majority have ets the practice will stop!
i dont have ets mate but would never do anything like this ,in fact before ets if a stray came into me i moved the rubber from one leg to the other so the owner knew it was in somewhere ,its just bad sportsmen that remove the ets rings thats all
